What happened to B4?

Data copied his positronic patterns over B4's and basically did a "Remember". When Picard is leaving B4 after their talk, B4 begins to sing "Blue Skies". I believe that this was intentional as a device to bring Data back, if needed.

So - Geordi and Wesley and Dr. Crusher work hard re-enforcing neural patterns and synaptic pathways, then the Holo-thearpy begins and B4 re-lives Data's recorded life (at high speed of course - android speed.) emerging from the experience as Data.

OR - The Ent-E makes a dash for Sigma Draconis 6, where Crusher puts-on the Teacher and restores Data's positronic patterns as thoght she were kniting - Child's play!

OR - B4 takes a job in the mess as cook and "Morale Officer".

According to the novel Articles of the Federation by Keith RA DeCandido, B-4 was handed over to the Daystrom Institute. There, he was the subject of a legal dispute over whether or not he would be considered a sentient lifeform (and, ergo, free and entitled to certain rights) or a piece of Starfleet property. Ironically, Commander Maddux, who had been a proponent of the view that Data was Starfleet property in "The Measure of A Man," ended up being a proponent of viewing B-4 as a sentient individual and Federation citizen (albeit one incapable of caring for himself). The case was decided in B-4's favor.

Wasn't a more personal anecdote on his deactivation covered in the first chapter of Resistance?

B4 disappeared into a time vortex engineered by the Great Machine.... firstly going ahead in time, then backwards in time, to deliver a base for the Army of Light and an altered Jeffrey Sinclair, who became Minbari not born of Minbari.

There is no B4 in my Trek universe, and no Nemesis either. ;)

He'll have regained all of Data's personality by the time Star Trek: The Next Next Generation goes into production. He'll be the baton passing guest star, I expect...
