I've given up on Shadow of Mordor for now, I've been playing for a while now and I've barely made any progress. I keep dying and the Uruks just keep getting tougher, and I've decided to just stop for now.
I decided to hold off on the Telltale games for now, and I got Far Cry 5 earlier today. I only had time to play for about an hour between work and NCIS, but it got off to a really good start.

I bought Far Cry 5 and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle yesterday and I'm REALLY trying hard to be good and finish Assassin's Creed Origins before I start Far Cry. But the temptation is strong

I should add GTA Vice City, and San Andreas. But Vice City definitely.

Sorry, for some reason I thought I posted this in the "What games are you playing" thread. Oops! :)

So, I'll add a couple more games I play over and over:

    Sonic the Hedgehog 2
    Super Mario World

But to be fair, it's just a fighter; but I think I discovered this over 10 years ago and I still love to pop it on from time to time and can get invested all over again.

And I've played GTA San Andreas more times that humanly necessary.

Sadly, Vice City gets REALLY boring once you've wholly mastered every nook and cranny. At least for me. The last time I played it, I was half asleep and I did 100% completion, playing very very casually in less than one week, since I knew where everything was.

    Spider solitaire.
    Backgammon on my tablet.

I do have the original mainframe Zork, somewhere on my DOS notebook.

I think the reason I like Vice City is because it's so easy to complete. Plus if I want I can take the extra time, get the hidden packages, which makes certain weapons spawn at safehouses and makes the game immensely easier. Plus knowing which vehicles to use on certain missions makes it easier.

San Andreas too for mostly the same reason (open world, sandbox kinda vibe) after those games GTA has been getting more closely "by the rails" in terms of gameplay.

But in Vice City, I even know where all the packages and literally everything is now. It's TOO easy in every aspect. And it's also the smallest city in that whole generation.

While I know San Andreas almost the same amount, it's at least 3x the size, which helps.

I can't say I agree with the statement about the later games though. V is one of my favorite games ever. It almost never gets old.

Yeah V is pretty good, do wish they added more DLC single player missions though. Been doing GTA Online for a long time now, kinda cool having my own criminal empire in the GTA universe.

I've been deadset on finishing Super Castlevania IV (which I'm playing on my SNES Classic, so it's not in a solo playthrough), and I've finally made it to Dracula, after being stuck on the Grim Reaper for a week. Holy shit, what a tough boss fight!

I know the Sega Megadrive (Genesis) Sonic games like the back of my hand. They get played through reasonably frequently. There's a lot of nostalgia there, but I also think the games stand up really well, they look great and the music is great.

Maybe Final Fantasy Vi, VII or IX, one or the other gets played once every couple of years.

I think the Syphon Filter trilogy on the PS1 are underappreciated gems, I've played through those countless times.
Tomb Raider 2 is one of the best games ever made imo.

The Mass Effects are pretty replayable. Fallout 3 & New Vegas too.

That's game is like three years old. That's like 2.5 hours a day you've been playing that game since it's release.
