Bashir had also been approached about being the template for the long-term medical hologram for outposts and whatnot, so I guess he could show up if they need a familiar face.EMH Mark 2 for the win.

No.Still reeling from the trip into the future the bridge crew sits in stunned silence.
The view screen flickers on the Discovery bridge....
Images slowly appear....
Data and the EMH are standing on the bridge of the Relativity with Daniels and Captain Braxton.
In John Candy-like fashion Daniels says "Sorry folks, the futures closed"
Bright flash and they are back to the original timeline seconds after they left and all evidence of the "Red Angel" and the "sphere information" have been wiped from the computers.
Common sense says no, since they're a century past Daniels' era and 400 years past Braxton's. But Discovery can't not reference prior Treks, so I won't be surprised if they show up.This would be a deep pull but what if Daniels or Braxton shows up?
Common sense? Even though they are assigned to a time ship?Common sense says no, since they're a century past Daniels' era and 400 years past Braxton's. But Discovery can't not reference prior Treks, so I won't be surprised if they show up.
Trek time travel does seem to defy common sense usually. It seems like a decent time ship would be able to go forward, not only reverse. Otherwise demand a refund from the dealer.Common sense? Even though they are assigned to a time ship?![]()
With the Discovery headed over 900 years into the future...
What are some characters you think could make an appearance (whether or not they should)?
And a Cardassian. There's also an Andorian shown.
As well as a MORN-like character.
In the new trailer, it looks we've got some Trill pools, and the most obvious explanation is it's for the purpose of making a connection with a blast from the past - Dax - to get caught up on the past millennium.
Could be, but since it's the future, maybe they've found ways to extend their lifespan, just as humans are always endeavoring to do for themselves.Hasn't it been canonically said that Trill symbionts have a lifespan of "only" 550 years or so?
Memory-alpha says they "could easily live beyond 550 years.", there is no source next to the line though.Hasn't it been canonically said that Trill symbionts have a lifespan of "only" 550 years or so?
As kind of a side question: would fans like to see actors again who were left behind in the time jump - but in new/different roles?
With Mary Chieffo, it's easy as a matter of taking makeup & stuff off, with others it would be a matter of putting more makeup/masks on. I grew attached to a lot of the actors who were in seasons 1 & 2, and it'd be great to keep them in the fam somehow!
