What do you want to see in Star Trek Online in the future?

Obviously, when this type of game is first released they aren't even half of what they become with time after user input and further development from the development team.

What would you like to see in the game over the coming months/years?

I want to see things that can distract from the main episodes and standard game play... mini games. How about water skiing on Risa or snow boarding on Andoria? Both would be possible to implement using the game engine. How about starship racing or even mini gambling games at Quarks. :D

I was thinking about this last night and how to make missions a bit like some episodes. I think that maybe there should be a mystery or puzzle element to some missions beyond the beam down, scan for computer console, access it, scan for computer console, etc. that I've encountered so far.

Otherwise I'm pretty happy all round.

* Redesign the whole freakin' user interface so that's it's simpler and easier to the eyes.

* Add more skins/alien races with inherent abilities, more ship components, more weapons.

* Be able to custom-create your own missions (similar to City of Heroes' Architect Entertainment), villains, and venues, i.e., a "holodeck" program.

I just completed the Guardian of Never mission. That definitely goes in the right direction. there was a whole story arc there that connected Voyager with Enterprise and TOS and solved the whole Klingon ridge thing once and for all in a pretty clever way.
Also some surprise cameos.

More of that please and enhance it with actual puzzles and more dialog.
I was very pleased that the guardian received full voice audio treatment.

More interaction with surroundings. I'd like to sit in my command chair, for instance.

You can. Just jump up onto it and use one of the "sit" emotes. I prefer the sit: bridge, or sit: captain emotes.

There are mini missions if you go out into some of the far off sectors, and just jump into Solar Systems, many missions detached from main missions you can do.

I'd like to see the universe get even bigger. Obviously, the big addon is going to be opening up the Gamma Quadrant, and allowing travel through the wormhole. This should open up an entire quadrant of new space to explore and missions to perform. I'd like to see this carried over as well to somehow maybe linking us to the Delta Quadrant, perhaps by unlocking and gaining Transwarp capability ala Borg technology. This could open up yet another entire Quadrant. With that, adding more systems in each sector as well. And beyond that adding multiple planets in each system, not just one single planet I've seen so far, I'd like to go into a system and be able to choose which planet to Warp to.

I'd like to see more to do on each planet as well, as an above poster noted, have little mini games on Risa or something, give us something to do on these planets other than just visit them.

I think in time, the game will get much much bigger, it just came out for crying out loud, I look forward to the expansions opening it up even more in the future. What an exciting game with a lot of room to expand.

It is a lot of fun, and I am having a blast. I really do feel a part of the Trek universe.
That being said, I would love the idea of mini-games (like Risa for example).

I want to explore strange new worlds seek out new civilizations and not phaser them. "Remember when we were explorers?"

1. Animals, everyone likes animals. I want to go to a planet and see the indigenous wildlife.
2. More exploration
3. When I log out I dont loose my mission.
4. More exploration that means something
5.The server not going down.
6. More systems many more systems.
7.More rooms on my Starship. (The least of my concerns)
8.Citys and villages and settlements oh my. New civilizations that I can go and talk to, and not have to kill. I play a lot of LOTR online and there is always a new thing to see and experience. I want Trek to be like that, with hundreds of systems with new areas to explore and communicate with.
9. Ships doctor position ( yes I know this is my science officer, but we need a ships surgeon.
10. I am curious and seeing how the Undines are manipulating everything. I think Klingons have been mislead, they are prone to that. The story so far seems very Ds9ish. I want to see how it unravels
10. more diplomatic missions.

Anyhow tons of things that I would like to see. However I do enjoy the game, it just seems more Star Fleet Battles then Star Trek. But that's ok if thats what it is. I still enjoy the game, however what I enjoy the most is my ship and my crew.

I think I had the most fun today creating the bios of my bridge crew. They are very interesting people with awesome stories. My ship is the worst ship in Starfleet. Its the place they put all the misfits. And everyone oof my characters has a bio which explains why they were assigned there. IF you ever see me check out our bios.

Anyhow I just want it bigger and better. However I am willing to wait. I just hope the Devs are listening to some of what we are saying. I am not expecting miracles but I guess I am kinda spoiled with LOTRO.

Anyhow This is Lt Thomas Paulett ofr the good ship USS Marie Galente signing off.

I'd like to see a tactics map that works properly. When I get the order to hurry to the rally point in the Starbase 24 missions, I'd really like to know where the hell that rally point is.

I sort of wish that my ship wasn't so fast when it was warping across sectors and even to the edge of federation space. I assumed that it would be similar to a system like City of Heroes or EQ, where tougher, more distant regions would be available as you gained more experience.

Sure, traveling to the Mirror Universe was insta death for my ship, but the fact that I was able to access it almost from the start sort of removed some of the joys of exploration.

There's a mirror universe you can access? How?

In the same group of regions as DS9, there are random enemy pockets. Enter one and you find yourself fighting against familiar Starfleet vessels, but this time on the side of the Terran Empire. The enemies talk about how they've engaged O'Brien's forces (a nice touch, I think).

And before I could properly join the fight, I was promptly assploded by a hail of torpedoes.

I would like to see a few missions that don't involve combat. They can require some character skills and reasoning.

I would come across a handful of missions like that early in the game, but not quite as indepth as I would have liked. I've no idea how these missions are later in the game, if they're around at all.

The game desperately needs a death penalty, any kind of death penalty however benign would be better than the near instant respawn that exists currently. As it is there is no risk in this game, it is literally impossible to lose. In fact in many cases it is beneficial to get killed.

Also some sandbox elements would be nice.

I hope there isn't a death penalty. STO doesn't need one. There are still too many bugs in the game for one to be effective. You'd lose many players just on the fact that when they warped into a new system, they were attacked and destroyed by 3 +38 Romulan D'Deridex ships. I've joined "Defend the Sirius Sector" missions only to be attacked upon entering the system by a +38 Negh'Var warship with 3 +18 Birds of Prey.

Well for me when I go do a mission on a non-Federation planet I would like the inhabitants who are supposed to be civilians not be dressed like Starfleet officers, and they should be members of the species that is native there. I did a mission to a Romulan colony and some of the natives looked like Starfleet officers and only a few looked like Romulans.
