"Bestiality" is sex with an animal, sex with a non-Human intelligent being would not be bestiality.

I could agree with that. Is there a more generic term for sex with another species?

If intelligence is required for acceptability of sexual relations, does that make intercourse with apes and dolphins and other terrestrial non-human intelligent species acceptable?
Since there are no species on Earth with intelligence equal to or greater than humans, there's not really a term for it. It remain squarely in the realm of fiction.

Thanks for voicing concerns and your feedback. I do have an idea for a Backdoor to CBS. Hope to keep hearing about what you all wantin the next Trek. It's helping more than you may realize.

The ten or so people here who have replied, mean nothing to CBS, which deals with entertainment seen by millions of people.

^ If they really want a label then the best would be inter-species. But I'd have to agree, sex would just be called sex.

Sapience is one thing, but even an intellectual equal or superior means nothing if their anatomy is still a little too much "off" from a humanoid one.

Hell, most people wouldn't touch a Frengi with a barge pole, but they're barely that much different from humans.

1) Why is Star Trek worth having this site? Other sci-fi shows have been forgotten. Why hasn't Star Trek?
Because there's 800 hours of it.

2) What is your personal favorite aspect of the shows that have been?
The fact that humanity has evolved past our current quibbles and no longers sees war and money as the pinnacle of life.

3) Do you want a familiar crew or people you've never met?
All the familiar crews have aged out of their roles. New ones please.

4) Why did Enterprise get wrapped up as a holonovel?
They wanted to give fans a "Valentines Day Present". Tie something unpopular into something popular. There's no way it'll backfire!

5) Did Data or Kirk die?
Kirk yes. It was plain (to me) that they were setting Data to return via B4.

6) Do you like the character interaction?
Yes?

7) or the fights and sexy aliens?
Not much of either.

8) And does the fact alien planets in Star Trek view Terran ways as alien add to it's appeal?
It did get a little ridiculous that every alien world looked like various places in Southern California, but technology and budgets limit what you can do.

The appearance of alien planets has changed. They no longer need look like southern California. They can now resemble the area around Vancouver B.C. :rommie:

Thanks for the feedback I'm extremely busy right now. Hopefully this will help me make it a success.

In hindsight I should not have put a tim limit on this poll. Unfortunately I don't think I can correct that error.

5) Did Data or Kirk die?
Kirk didn't die, while he is injured in the fall and does lose consciousness, he survives and recovers. The burial cairn of rocks we see Picard assembling was for Soren.

4) Why did Enterprise get wrapped up as a holonovel?

It was TPTB's way of telling the fans that Enterprise was just a holographic fantasy and it never actually happen. Then Pam wakes up and find Bobby in the shower.

And, as is tradition for all mass murders who also kidnapped a member of his crew (as well as himself), he gets a Starfleet insignia placed on his grave.

Okay, I didn't want to tell you, but the grave was for ... Livingston.

You see Picard had been promising to take Livingston on more away missions and when Picard got knocked down in the fight, well Livingston was in his pocket and was killed.

And Kirk's still alive.

.

3) Do you want a familiar crew or people you've never met?

A mix. But emphasis on the new people.

Why did Enterprise get wrapped up as a holonovel?

They wanted to tie it into later Trek. Presumably they ruled out time travel, so they used the holodeck. Not a good choice overall, but mistakes happen.

5) Did Data or Kirk die?

It depends. In the NuVerse, a new future is possible. A reboot could be used to change everything anyhow.

7) or the fights and sexy aliens?

It's not either/or. We can have great characters, sex aliens, unsexy aliens, fights, etc.
