They're clearly building a deep emotional connection between him and Burnham, so something consequential is likely to happen by the end of the season.

I guess if anyone has any inside info on the casting for next season they would be able to answer this poll more accurately. :D

No idea. "Unification III" threw me off my game. A lot of curveballs in that one I didn't see. I like to think he'll be around next season. Problem is, I think there's zero chance he'll join Starfleet. So I think if Burnham leaves Starfleet and flies off with Book, we'll have dual storylines for a while. Part Discovery, part Burnham & Book.

I feel, after watching the latest episode, that the relationship between Booker and Burnham has an end date. I don't expect to see him in the next season.

My instincts tell me he’s going to die by season’s end. How? Not sure. But I don’t see him staying around.

Didn't Michelle Paradise accidentally let slip in an interview that Book was only going to be in season 3?

I don't know about about "die" per se, but I wouldn't be surprised if he were written out at the end of the season. Those who have the "And" billing in the opening credits tend to only be there for that particular season. Lorca in season 1, Pike in season 2, now Book in season 3.

I’m going with death. Characters that are focused on but not main characters don’t last very long. Why do you think the others stay out of the limelight.

I'm sure all actors dread getting this call
"Hey, we're giving your character an episode spotlight."
"Wait, like Airiam?"
"Ah..."

I'm hoping the answer is that MB uses programmable matter to create a dungeon where Book is kept as a sex slave (the S&M kind, not the trafficking kind).

I hope he stays around with Burnham, Burnham gets married to Book and gives birth to their kids.

Eventually they time travel to the past to change history and they take the family with them.

Burnham, Book, Burnham's mom, children; all go to the past to change Federation history for the better.

Hello Tilly. My husband Book you met. And here are the children. Jules and Verne.
Only two children? I would think Michael Burnham and Book would have at least 5 kids.

They can jump to a different time, pop out 5 kids and home school all 5 until they're reasonably older to have starring appearances within the show.

Gets sent to a different time/universe, becomes a Shepherd, finds passage on a Firefly-Class ship named Serenity where he talks in mysterious terms about his life before finding religion, and then is killed in an attack by the Operative to force Mal's hand.
