What do you collect?

I've recently started collecting Funko Pops, and it got me wondering what kind of SFF stuff related the other posters on here collect. So what do you collect? If you have any pictures of your collection feel free to post them here.
I actually have a few other things I've gotten over the years, mostly as extras for video game pre-orders.

haha I just started collecting Funko pops a couple months ago myself; mostly Marvel/DC ones. I also collect Kotobukiya statues and I own a couple of the marvel Hot Toys (whichh are waaaaay too expensive to actually start collecting more of).

I'm jealous, I wish I had the money to get some of the Hot Toys statue/figures, those things are amazing.
So far I've got Funco Pop's of Rey, Finn, and Poe from Star Wars: TFA, Batman v Superman Wonder Woman, and Worf.

I'm not a collector but I'm always interested in hearing about what/why people collect.

However, I do have a Funko Harley Quinn Mopeez, because I just can't resist Harley :adore:

Because of my addictive personality (only when it comes to collections, my comics are out of control of late) I purposely try to avoid those Funko figures. I have gotten 4 as gifts, and I will not purchase any for myself.

Star Trek autographs from the actors I've met are fun, I still desire a few more (here's my wall above my couch):

And I still get the occasional action figure. Mostly Star Trek: The Next Generation ones, but my friend started me on the path of Ghostbusters knowing full well I'd have to continue on from the gift he started.

Right now, I'm collecting trade paper back and omnibus editions of the comics I grew up on. Mostly Marvel. I have collected the two John Byrne FF volumes, Roger Stern's Spider-Man and the first three Chris Claremont Uncanny X-Men in Omnibus. I have also collected Frank Miller's DD, Stern's Avengers, Walt Simonson's Thor and others in trade paperback.

I have assorted Trek collectibles, no one kind of thing. Just what ever I happen across that I like and have room for, or someone gives to me.

Omnibus bound comic editions from Marvel, DC & Valiant as well as smaller HC's from IDW
Lego figurines of Marvel, TMNT and Disney.
Optimus Prime figures, I have a whole curio cabinet full of various OP figs from the past few decades.

  • comic books
  • action figures
  • assorted Star Trek, Star Wars, & Doctor Who roleplay toys (phasers, lightsabers, sonic screwdrivers, etc.)
  • various Hot Wheels cars
  • various Kinsmart cars (those generally 1:36 scale diecast cars you find hiding in select grocery stores)
Used to collect samurai and medieval swords too, but I had too many of them at one point and it started to make people nervous.

The wife and I had a pretty bad bout of collectivitis with Skylanders (Swap Force) for a while.

Not really collecting anything physically right now, and it feels sort of freeing. We have a much larger apartment now, and not stuffing it full of... stuff feels great - luxurious.

I totally get it though - collecting and displaying stuff is fun.

Not really collecting any actual SFF, atleast not as actively as other stuff. Sure, I have my share of SW, and other, figures standing on the shelf and a lot of SFF books.

But mostly collecting Disney comics stuff. Trying to limit collecting to some specifi comic book series and figures so that space, and money, doesnt run out.

Figures like these:

Almost finishing collection of Scrooge McDuck-comics series that has been running since 1978. Just missing couple of issues. But, of course collection is never perfect since there are always issues around that are in better condition than mine..

And then there is my smurf (mostly made by Schleich/Bully) - collection. I guess they count as "fantasy"?

Sorry for the way blurry pictures. My phone isn't the best. I'm concentrating on most Funko Pops now, but I still need a couple to finish off the Batfamily and the Persona sets. I'm really tempted to get some more of the Avengers/X-men statues, but it takes a lot of love for a character to make me drop more than $20 for it.

I only collect things that fit properly on a self like dvds & books. Things like statues would just end up in a drawer.

I collect some action figures, mostly in 3.75" scale. I have some 6" DC characters.

For a while, I was collecting a bunch of Titan's 3" vinyl figurines. I've got a ton of Doctor Who ones as well as some from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Ghostbusters and 1 from Alien.

I've got a bunch of DVDs, including nearly all of the classic Doctor Who, a tricky feat since a lot of it is out of print now. I've got complete sets of the Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, & Colin Baker years. I've got all of the surviving William Hartnell stories except for "An Unearthly Child." I've got all of the surviving Patrick Troughton episodes except for "The Underwater Menace, Part 2." I've got all of Sylvester McCoy's stories except for "The Happiness Patrol" & "The Curse of Fenric." My biggest gaps are in the Peter Davison years, where I'm missing 6 stories-- "Kinda," "Snakedance," the Black Guardian trilogy, & "The Awakening."

I have 4 or 5 different models of the Delorean from Back to the Future at different scales.

I still have a bunch of my old Playmates Star Trek action figures from the 1990s. (If only I had kept my old action figures from The Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I could have made a decent amount reselling them to Toy Anxiety.)

I've never been much of a comic book guy before but I have collected every issue of Spider-Gwen.

I have a few autographed photos-- Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter, Felicia Day, Alexis Denisof, Michael Dorn, Claire Kramer, Christopher Lloyd, James Marsters, John Rhys-Davies, Richard LaParmentier (who signed it "Imperial officers do it while they're choking"), and the entire cast of Cinematic Titanic.

I collected all the Lost figurines by McFarlane, but they didn't sell very well and were canceled pretty early on in their run so no Sayid, Ben, Desmond, Juliet, Daniel and so forth.

If we're going to include old stuff then I've also got tons of the old Star Trek figures from the 90s, they're mostly TNG, DS9, and Voy. I think I have pretty much every main character from all three shows, with multiple version of a few. I can't remember if I have Seven of Nine.
I also picked up a Locke figure a few years ago when I visited the McFarlane Toys store we have in town.

Does anybody here know if the Funko Pops! that are announced as SDCC exclusives are eventually available in regular stores?
