I'd like to see smart stories in the spirit of DS9 that deal with issues other than quadrant-wide threats. May be conflicts with some pirates, orion syndicate, and ferengi would be nice

DS9 had a good run and now it is done, I'm happy to leave it as it is; one of the all time great TV series. All good things must come to an end. All you take with you when you're gone, is what you leave behind. Endgame. (Wait, that last one doesn't work. :wtf:)

As much as I'd love to see a big-ass DS9 movie, I know it ain't ever gonna to happen.

I wouldn't mind seeing a TV movie or two, or perhaps a mini-series; that sounds a bit more plausible, but still pretty unlikely at this point, I'm sorry to say.

I was going to vote to leave it be at first. But then I thought it would actually be pretty cool to have a pilot that takes place about 10 years after what we last saw on screen.

For one, that would make it possible to see what direction the Alpha Quadrant as a whole as well as the Federation, Bajor, Cardassia and the Dominion in particular have taken after the end of th war. It would also make it possible to integrate at least some of the original actors since the age difference wouldn't be a problem at all (Odo would be a problem, though).

I wouldn't be interested in any material from the books or fans being integrated. If this ever happened, I'd like whoever is doing it to make a fresh start that is based on the original series.

I don't see anything like that ever happening, however. And I'm just as happy to have it that way. DS9 had a great run, I think.

These are the voyages of a turnabout intruder.

I kinda like that! Good job lefty~

I wouldn't say DS9 is perfect as is, however, it certainly could get a lot less perfect if they handed it off to some "lame reboot jockies" or whatnot. So I'm inclined to say I don't want any new DS9 unless it's made by the original showrunners and no one else.

Ideally, I'd want a trilogy of 3-hour long (each!) DS9 movies, made by the original showrunners and no one else, making a LOTR-esque epic out of the Dominion War II. :techman:

Nothing. Let DS9 rest on DVDs.

I would rather see new Trek series taking place in 25th century or something, instead of going back in time (like with ENT and the new movie).

I'm happy with the show as it is. The DS9 post-finale novels do a fine job of continuing the story and giving me my "new DS9 fix".

I'll be happy to keep seeing DS9 Relaunch novels, though I hope they can eventually bring Marco back for them.

Leave it be. The show had its run and while I'm not a huge fan of how the post-TNG era has been handled I'm fine with it the events after the series just appearing in novels, comics or games.

I like the DS9R novels. I would love to see another DS9 TV series or movie continuing off of the DS9R.

Is it ever going to happen? No. You'd never get back all the actors involved, you couldn't just spring Vaughn and Prynn and Shar or even just Ezri in the command track on an unsuspecting audience who hadn't been following the novels. And if any series is going to be resurrected, it won't be DS9, which was never the best-rated of the Star Trek shows. :-(

And it would have to be well-done. Original showrunners, whatnot. No one wants to see one of their favorite TV shows resurrected badly.

But would I watch a Destiny movie? Would I watch a DS9R movie or TV series or movie-for-DVD or television? Heck yeah! I love my DS9.

Continue with the Pocket Books novels and get us some new DS9 comics. I see the people who hold the Star Trek comic license have released a collection of the first DS9 comics this month. Testing the waters perhaps?

I voted for the show to be left alone, it ended well and the series holds up well.

If there had be some sort of continuation for some odd reason, then I'd hope for a 'Ten Years Later' four or five-part miniseries with all of the cast involved in one way or another. If we can't use the old cast, then a new series set a few decades later in the same vein could have potential.

I'd prefer there be no movies or tv shows. I don't want my DS9 messed with. I like it the way it is. I like that DS9 is a different kind of Trek. Keep it available on DVD, Blu-Ray and whatever comes next... But let it rest peacefully after a job well done.

I do adore the post DS9 novels though. Keep 'em coming. ;)

I wasn't sure if a mini-series was the same as a big-a&! movie, so I voted for the "other". I agree with neogothboy, that the series ended pretty awesome. I'd hate for them to mess things up, but I'm also really selfish and want to see my characters again. I don't have the pleasure of reading the books to see them.
