Yep, the CGI stylings of Gabriel Koerner ("that kid from Trekkies"). A little side project he's doing. I think it has something to do with a new Ship of the Line calendar.

I've seen his name kicked around every so often. The Quinto thing makes me think they're looking for someone parallel for Kirk. Physically right for the part, check. About 30, check. Talented actor with a fair amount of critical buzz behind him, check. TV actor rather than big-name movie star, check. Serial killer, check.
