What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

Went to my parents for dinner last night and we had roast beef which was cooked with carrots, celery, and gravy with a few herbs (I think mostly fresh thyme). Also had a baked potato and Yorkshire Pudding. For desert we had home made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies. After being sick all week this was awesome.

We went to a local Italian place for an early Valentine's dinner, and then we had chocolate covered strawberries. YUM.

I had....hmmm, let me think.....oh, right! I had a pot roast sandwich with chips and ketchup. Good stuff.

Burgers with mayo, lettuce, tomato, cheese, ketchup, spicy mustard & relish with potato wedges.

Since it's only three minutes until midnight and the start of the new day...I had two tunafish and mayo subs with some chips, Fritos and a small bowl of salad made of cucumber slices and grape tomatoes drizzled in Ranch dressing.

Went out to a new restaurant that opened up about a month and a half ago near us, breaking my usual rule of giving a restaurant a 60 - 90-day period after opening to work out the kinks. There were still some kinks (we sat at the bar, which desperately needed another person working behind it, and our appetizer arrived only a few minutes before our entrees), but the food was excellent -- I had a mushroom fontina burger, which had an entire grilled and sliced portobello mushroom cap atop the burger patty, which was utterly amazing, while my wife had a pulled brisket sandwich with the most delicious garlic aioli I've ever tasted. And they didn't charge me for my club soda, even though I had three refills, which nicely offset the $7 beer my wife had.
