What Changes Would You Like To See In "The Deadly Years"?

Re: What Changes Would You Like To See In "The Deadly Years"

One change that would be good would be to add a quick shot of the Enterprise dropping off The Commodore at the Starbase he was supposed to go to.

In a similar vein, I always thought the Remastered "Space Seed" should have shown the Enterprise tractoring the Botany Bay to Ceti Alpha V in the very last shot of the episode. They could have gone back to the way the planet looked in the alternate-timeline episode "Twilight" in ENTERPRISE and used the much more Earthlike appearance for a Remastered shot.

There's no indication that the Botany Bay ever got near Ceti Alpha. The mere presence of items from the ship (the belt buckle, some books) is not a clear indication; Khan does say "with only the contents of these cargo bays to sustain us".

Yeah, but nobody ever made that canon on-screen. It was left up to interpretation. I always conjectured that the Enterprise tractored part or all of the Botany Bay along with it to the Ceti Alpha system then cannibalized the ship for parts that were suitable to send down to the planet's surface. Then what was left of the ship was taken back to Earth and the Federation for historical research or even museum purposes, leaving no empty shell or hulk in orbit.
