This one needs a major overhaul.
-Gladiators are boring, let's replace one with a Gorn.
-How about showing Spock shirtless, something for the ladies.
-Uhura's line about the "son" should be edited so that she is saying they are referring to the "Son of Sam".
-Hedonism Bot from Futurama should appear "let the games begin!"
-Surely a Klingon Bird of Prey could be worked in. Those are kewl.

the network broadcast needs a roman 'broom' helmet in profile as a bug logo in the lower right corner...
...or maybe have it move around and be obnoxiously large advertising another show on the network...

Not a ton for them to do here. Better to tweak as little as possible.

Why don't some people get that they're not going to make fundamental changes to the episode like audio, story or concept. They're redoing FX, period, and only if it doesn't change the story.
They're not going to add alien languages, ships that weren't seen in the original, etc...

Well, saw the finished Remastered episode.
Here's what was changed:

-Enterprise dodges six-year-old drifting debris from the SS Beagle as the starship enters the 892-IV system.
-Planet 892-IV now looks more Earth-like and realistic, with a day-night terminator and shading and TWO moons in orbit overhead.
-When Kirk and company beam down to the surface, those same two moons are now inserted into the sky overhead and are faintly visible in the daylight/sun.
-New orbital shots of the Enterprise before and as Scotty and Chekov disrupt the electrical power grid on the planet's surface.
-There are now bullet holes from the machine gun fire on the back wall of the Enterprise officers' holding cell. Before now, none were visible...one of the big snafus/continuity errors of the original series.
