What books would you pay good money to read?

Title says it all really. What non-existant books would you love to see published?

Mine would be , 'A Collection of Newly Discovered Works by the Acclaimed Writer Howard P. Lovecraft'. And of course 'Book One' in a series of Firefly novels by Peter David. :)

I'd love to see contemporary satire by Mark Twain. Oh would he have fun with the birthers, deathers and assorted neocons!

Not to repeat Temis, but for me, if there were ever a way for Mark Twain to publish new works posthumously... Oh, how I would love to know what is going through his mind as he looks down here from the Other Side and sees what humanity has become... I'm sure he's highly amused.

I want RA Salvatore to write another trilogy focusing on Artemis Entreri and Jaraxle. That trilogy has easily become one of my, if not the, favorite series of books I have ever read.

Technically, not a book, but I want to get my gubby hands on the film script "The Prisoners", Patrick McGoohan wrote based on the series.

Reminds me of a line from It's a Wonderful Life, as Clarence the angel dries out his copy of Tom Sawyer, "You should read the new book Mark Twain is writing."

I wish Douglas Adams had had the chance to finish the 3rd Dirk Gently book before he died.

After witnessing the brilliance that was American Gods & Anansi Boys, I'd be very interested in seeing Neil Gaiman come up with further American Gods spin-offs.

While the movies are sometimes so-so, I've greatly enjoyed Greg Cox's Underworld tie-in novels. Here's hoping Screen Gems lets him write more!

The first book that comes to mind is the supposed continuation of the Evergence series, "The Roche Limit". Sean Williams' FAQ mentions that it would be the next book but "only time will tell".

The only other thing that comes to mind is KOTOR novels, I'd pay to read about the adventures of Revan and Mystery Inc.

Dune 7 by Frank Herbert
2084 by George Orwell
The Salmon of Doubt by Douglas Adams

I'm still waiting for that damn Hunter S. Thompson collection of random bits of writing, the one that's supposed to collect everything he never got around to (or had no intention of) publishing.

I'd also love to see some of Beat Takashi's writings translated into English.
