What are your TFA viewing plans?

I'm going opening day simply because the secrets that the movie holds will be out of the bag after that. If anyone dies, etc. then hints of what happens in the movie will probably be all over the headlines of the news outlets and hard to avoid.

I would love to see this in IMAX, but I can't handle to volume they play the sound at. I'm very, very sensitive to loud noises and I tried to do The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies in IMAX, but the sound was so loud I couldn't even make it through the first or second trailer before we had to leave and get our money back. I did see it a regular theater a few days later.

December 17th, 10:30pm in IMAX 3d on a "true" IMAX screen at the Metreon in San Francisco.

Went for the second show of the night in order to get better seats since it was impossible to sit 5 together at the earlier screening. I'm still not entirely sure why I got 5 tickets, since I only have 2 friends confirmed attending with me. I imagine that won't last much longer though.

Even though I've been waiting for this my whole life, with a movie this big, there's no way I'm fighting the crowds on opening day. I'll probably wait a few weeks and catch it on a weeknight.

I could be persuaded to see it in IMAX, but only a true four-story tall IMAX screen at a science museum, not those pathetic little screens at the local cineplex that are branded as IMAX but don't deserve the name.

I have exactly the opposite problem. My local theater tends to play movies at too low a volume. (I have several theories as to why this is the case, and only one of them is general incompetence.) When I go to the movies I want it to be loud.

The trailers are often much louder than the actual film, which is really frustrating.

When I saw Interstellar out of state it was ridiculously, improbably loud and I loved every second of it.

I'll be in Peterborough UK on the evening of Dec 18th.........in 3-D. I'm not even aware of any IMAX theaters in my area. I have had tickets since the day after they went on sale. My wife bought them for us, then she had a business trip come up so I'll be taking a mate of mine.

I got my ticket today for Thursday the 17th, IMAX 3D, reserved seating.

I was near the theatre so I thought I'd drop in to buy a ticket at the automatic kiosk. I wanted the 7PM showing on Thursday but all the good seats were filled except for a few at the very front where you have to look up at the screen. So, I ended up getting the 10:30PM show and literally the last good seat which was at the back. Now I won't have to arrive early since my seat is reserved.

If you want a ticket to for the first night, better get one soon. It's likely that theatres are either sold out or all the good seats are taken.

Do you already have tickets lined up? If so, will they be for the grand premiere showing, or a little further back? IMAX, 35mm? How many friends and family members are you bringing along? Will you dress up? Doing a Star Wars viewing marathon beforehand? Fetching a beer while watching?

How hyped are you?

Anything and everything involving our plans for the big day -- name 'em! For me, I'm signed on for the second showing at a nice RPX theater in the Tampa Bay Area. Three people will be accompanying me, although I'm locked into two subsequent showings over the next few days, with other groups. I'll probably be seeing TFA almost as many times as STID at this rate. I've often been told I have a bit of a Hamill look, so I'll probably go as Luke. :)

Friday the 18th at 10:00 AM in Toronto at the Scotiabank Theater in IMAX, the only time I could get to see it. I'd like to have been able to see it on Thursday night, and with a ton of true fans, but that's the breaks. I wanted to get pictures of people dressed up in costume that night (I take cosplay pictures) but I'll have to wait until Friday afternoon to do that. As with Santa, my reserved seat's at the back, in the top right corner.

Saturday, 1:20pm! Ticket price $6.00!

I'm debating if I'm brave enough to wear my X Wing pilot costume to it. I'm going with my friend, but I'll probably get there before she does and I really don't wanna walk alone in it through a mall

Well be seeing it at the same time and not to far from each other, I'm in Syracuse NY. I too am seeing it in IMAX and fortunate for me, I'm right in the center the perfect rows back. So we should be posting our reaction to it about the same time, looking forward to what you write.

That may be the cheapest price I've yet heard anybody score for a ticket. Congrats, man!

A dear friend told me the other day there's a special time during the week where new movies at one of our local cineplexes are just $5.75 or something along those lines but I'd have to check into it. Sometimes there's just a one- or two-hour window in which to pay such low ticket prices.

I have high hopes that I can get into a weeknight slot the week after Christmas. Mondays are pretty slow for entertainment.
Until then, I plan on being spoiled silly. I'll still go to see it and am sure I will love it anyway.

My theater prices are $7 in the day, $6 for the first showing. Anybody who goes at night on a weekend is insane

My friends and I just discussed our plans and we're going to aim for an 11 A.M. or 1 P.M. showing on the 18th, and if those are completely sold out then we're going to try for the same or similar times the next day. I can't wait!

Opening night, December 17th, at 7:30 PM, 2D.

The closest theater near me is only showing the movie in 3D for the entire first week, it was either watch it on opening night in 2D or wait an entire week which would have been unbearable.

No IMAX or 3D for me. They are too expensive. I can't stand 3D.

I will probably end up seeing TFA a few times.

I have no interest in any of the other movies released this October, November, or December. Thanks, Hollywood! Money saved so I can rewatch TFA!

Im seeing the movie at least 3 times. I'm seeing it Friday morning at 10am by myself in IMAX 3D. Then again on Saturday evening, we're doing the whole dinner and a movie with good friends. That will be in 2D, but a PRX screen. Then 3rd time probably on Sunday with my sons, probably 3D again. Depends on times. I'm pretty sure the boys will want to see it again over Christmas break and who am I to deny them.
