What are your gas prices?

140.9p here in Scotland.

No idea what that would be in dollars or euro's.

Bloody expensive anyway!

For the last week, it's been holding steady at $4.19, after peaking at $4.39 several weeks previously. So yeah, fallen 20 cents and been holding there. Not bad. Still fucking expensive, but not as bad as it was.

I'm an engineer. (aka a dork) You end up doing unit conversions about totally inane stuff and not even realizing it.

So I'll convert to pounds, then factor in the exchange rate, convert liters to US gallons just for shits and grins. I did this when I went to England, Canada, and Iceland and ballparked it in my head. I need professional help.

General Motors and Japanese Honda announced they are putting millions into new hydrogen fuel cell research and development, they expect there to be a huge current in new high tech cars and for many US families to adopt fuel cell vehicles by 2020. I think announcements like this will help car owners, prices and transport.

Or to make it easier for our American Cousins, that would be around

Petrol GB£6.14 per imperial gallon which is circa US$9.21 per imperial gallon.

Diesel GB£6.32 per imperial gallon which is circa US$9.49 per imperial gallon.

Americans still have it cheap compared to a fair few countries.

$3.79 to $4.39 in Fresno, depending on the octane.

I go to Costco or use my, or my mother-in-law's, Vons points. She won't go to where theres Vons gas, but she can accumulate 80 cents off/gallon, which she gives to us. That's decent savings. Hell, even 30 cents/gallon off is good.

I don't have to refuel just yet, but the current price in Helsinki area seems to be around 1.6 euros per liter. That's about $7.76 per gallon according to Google conversion. Could be worse.

Currently about $3.27 per gallon for regular unleaded in my corner of Virginia.
