What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Or a brilliant one…

:shifty:
Apparently I'm was so brilliant it showed up in Star Wars Outlaws.

Stormtroopers spent half of ANH being stone cold killers. It wasn't until Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie had to run from them and evade squads that their "bad aim" became a recurring theme. I mean, look what they did to the Jawas, Owen and Beru and earlier in the film inflicted upon the Rebel crew on the Tantive IV. Piles of dead bodies.

It actually started at the Mos Eisley Space port. Whole squad couldn't get the jump on a simple freighter captain.

Yes.

Star Trek is a science fiction shoe that looks toward the future, so I wish they'd stop returning to the past.

Interesting enough though Picard season 3 is the one Trek show set in the future past all the other Trek shows, except for Discovery seasons 3,4 and 5 but of course those don't count since Lower Decks removed them from canon.

As much as I'd like DISCO to not be canon, I'm sorry to say it is. Even seasons 3-5.

However... it is entirely possible that that timeline of those 3 seasons could end up being completely deleted. Like the future that was seen in VOY's "ENDGAME".

For whatever it’s worth, DSC and SNW are canon for me, but I treat them as a separate offshoot like Marvel/Marvel Ultimates.

I know it’s not the right way to do it (ie: the official Paramount line) and I’d never dictate to someone that that is what it is, but it helps me to make sense of it all.

I don’t say that to lessen either show in any way. It just helps my brain to deal with it all.

If I had to remove one show from canon it would probably randomly be either Enterprise, Voyager or Picard depending upon the day of the week you asked me and my mood at the time.
