I never said it was "unpopular", just not as popular as it should be.How shocking that a list based on compiling all time views based on data ranging from 2019-2025 should favor a popular show which launched in 2019 and already released it's third season in 2023 over a popular show that didn't exist at all until 2022 and only recently got a second season.
Also gotta love the irony of trying to prove Andor is unpopular by linking to an article that literally says Andor is the second most popular thing on their list.
So you're blaming them for why the numbers aren't as good as it should be?
Big shoes to fill.SNW is good but for me Wesley and Peck (although granted he has that deep voice) don’t hold a candle to Shatner and Nimoy or even Pine and Quinto
Is there some reason why every one of your posts comes across as though you're trying to explain something to a third grader?I never said it was "unpopular", just not as popular as it should be.
There's a world of difference between those two statements.
Given the amount of $$$ Disney spent, the talent they hired, it should've done better than what it got so far, in the amount of time it's been out.
Remember, Ahsoka just finished 1 Season, and it's that popular.
Andor just finished 2 Seasons & completed it's story, and it's barely catching up to Ahsoka who has only finished 1 season and still has S2 in the works.
If Andor was as popular as it should be, it would've been leagues ahead of Ahsoka by now and starting to be part way to catching up to Mando.
But it isn't, so what gives?
Remember, Andor cost Disney $645 Million across 24 eps.
Ahsoka S1 is only estimated to cost $100 Million across 8 eps for S1.
Yet Andor S1+2 is only beating Ahsoka S1 by 0.13% points so far.
A show that costs a estimated 6.45x more, yet is only barely beating out Ahsoka is a bad investment by Disney in their eyes.
Anybody who reads the basic finances is going to agree that Andor is under-performing for the amount of investment that went into it.
Ambitious projects like Andor isn't delivering on what it should've delivered, MUCH higher performance given the Financial Investment.
BTW, Mando, all 3 seasons cost them $360 Million, and it's the top watched show.
So you understand why Disney is making a "Mando Movie" now.
Not everybody follows Star Wars performance in the Streaming Wars.Is there some reason why every one of your posts comes across as though you're trying to explain something to a third grader?
Maybe I'm just easily misunderstood.I am not trying to be mean. I'm really not. But people have tried repeatedly to explain that the "tone" of your posts is coming across badly, but you apparently either don't see it or don't care.
Does this mean that a great many of us aren't really cool guys and gals?Count me as one.![]()
I tuned out precisely because it was boring. I don't mind a slow burn but Andor just dragged. They didn't tune-out because it was 'boring'.
I just had an unusual thought:
Star Trek: The Wrath of Karen
I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind you are not on Facebook or X here. You are on a board specifically dedicated to Star Trek in particular and sci-fi more broadly. The folks actively posting here tend to be uber-fans and very well versed in these things. As a community, Trekkies take pride in knowing all the minutia. Not everybody follows Star Wars performance in the Streaming Wars.
That's a niche subject that requires a bit more explanation since most people don't care about how it performs and why it affects Star Wars in the future.
Most people only read the big head-lines and calls it a day.
They enjoy the shows and just move on with their life.
But there is a lot of nuance to the topic and it deeply affects how future shows will be funded along with what subject matter.
I would assume they take pride in Star Trek minutia, Star Wars is hit & miss depending on the user.I understand what you are saying, but keep in mind you are not on Facebook or X here. I'm just trying to convey a view point and debate it, but apparently people don't like controversial topics & debate in this thread.I guess what it comes down to is this: you seem to think that simple opinion and taste doesn't factor into things. You act like your viewpoint is always a factually correct one and that if someone disagrees with you, it must be because they just don't understand all the facts.
I get that. But the fact is, many of us just like different things than you do.
Fair enough, but I have different tastes in regarding space battles, and I know many who are like minded like me as well. For me, for example, your stated preferences regarding space battles sound awful to me. That's not because I don't understand what you want to see or why. It's because I just don't like it. I'm just as much a fan and consumer of Star Trek as you, and I'm just as entitled to my opinion and my tastes.
Fair enough. You're under no obligation to listen to me, but if I had one suggestion it would be to just accept that not everyone agrees with what you want to see, even when they have all of the facts.
It seems nobody wants to discuss the difference of opinion, they rather have me shut up and go away.Start treating these discussions as differences of opinion rather than people in need of education and I think you'll get better responses.
Just my opinion.
No one is censoring you. They've discussed the issue and are ready to move on. Accusing people of wanting to cause political strife is uncalled for. People in this thread have answered your posts in detail. It seems nobody wants to discuss the difference of opinion, they rather have me shut up and go away.
They don't want my opinion, they don't want dicussion.
They say they want discussion on controversial subjects, they have no stomach to debate it or argue about it.
So why bother with people who don't mean what they say in a topic about Controversial opinions.

what armadillos have had children with humans? XD
Sisko, Worf, the Doctor, or do you mean no one in 23rd century Starfleet sings besides Uhura? If so, Kevin Riley says hi. Stamets mentioned Culber sings, though we never heard him. Stamets and Tilly did sing one time. Saru also sang once.with the exception of Uhura no one in star fleet sings.
Of course not.SNW is good but for me Wesley and Peck (although granted he has that deep voice) don’t hold a candle to Shatner and Nimoy or even Pine and Quinto
For me it's the reverse tbh, at least insofar as Peck and Quinto are concerned. While the latter may have spent time with Nimoy, I found him jarringly nasal and too high pitched - and found very little similarity in their mannerisms (ironic, because back when he was in Heroes he seemed like the ideal candidate!)Of course not.
I know it's difficult but I try really really hard not to compare. Quinto gets closer because he got to work with Nimoy.
But I try so hard to not to compare performance to performance.
I will always marvel at the hypocrisy of using a euphemism to express outrage at somebody's bad behavior while at the same time not realizing that using it is dissing all the amazing people who happen to have that same name.Just a Karen in general. Someone who feigns outrage about something they know nothing about. A busy-body. A trouble maker in general.
Neither picked up a decades long smoking habit to get that voice. For me it's the reverse tbh, at least insofar as Peck and Quinto are concerned.
