True Lies, meanwhile, has the hot chicks from "Perfect" and "Wayne's World" and a future hot chick from Buffy, aaaaand lots of blown up terrorists.

One of my favourite sci-fi films. if this film didn't exist, then the premise of a film featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger vs Michael Ironside would likely be on my wishlist anyway.

Predator

Suspenseful, violent, endlessly quotable and one of the best creature designs out there. More than your average Alien clone.

The Terminator

Most prefer the second but I thought Arnie was much more frightening than Robert Patrick. It's essentially a slasher film, with a sci-fi twist, and the best film James Cameron has made to this day.

I truly have nothing to add to this. On top of picking the same films, you've said everything I would have, DalekJim.

This was really tough. There were so many cool films. Total Recall almost had that third spot for me, but I remembered Predator and had to put it over Recall.

3. Running Man - It just seemed like an old nintendo game turned into a movie. I can't really explain it any better than that.

Underneath, Running Man is such an incredibly clever piece of social commentary. People just dismiss it as a random Arnold flick, which it's absolutely not.

Personal favorites: Total Recall, Predator and Commando. TR and P are a little ahead of Commando.

After them: Running Man, Raw Deal, Conan the Barbarian, Terminator etc.

Terminator - I saw this in High School and it was so awesome we turned around and bought tickets for the next showing.Running Man - Based on the novella by Stephen King.. er... Richard Bachman. As someone said above, it has a lot of accurate social commentary in it. The book has even more.True Lies - Just a fun movie, and I didn't hate Tom Arnold for once.

Any idea why my separate lines all run together when I post? Anyone else having this problem?

You know, it's been a good long time since I've seen that movie but I remember it rather fondly. It does have some good moments in it and some great Schwarzenegger-isms even if we ignore the infamous "It's not a too-mah."
