What are you watching???

ST: Picard S3E3 “17 Seconds” (Great episode and Sydney LaForge knows exactly how to respect Seven!)

ST: Picard S3E4 "No Win Scenario" (I never really much liked Worf before but I love him in Picard. And, this episode made me think so much of Janeway and how it would have been a great story line for a Janeway show).

Galactica 1980

Hot Take: I think Galactica 1980 could have worked if they had stuck with whole Xaviar/time travel arc instead of going with the Super Scouts.

I know the series lasted only 10 episodes, but if you have ever read the Battlestar Galactica Companion book that was released around the same time the original series was released on DVD back in the 2000's, you'll find that the series was cancelled midway through production of episode 11. What episodes 11 and 12 would have entailed was the return of Xaviar after being poisoned by Cleopatra and Starbuck returning as one of the Beings of Light seen in "War of the Gods Parts 1 & 2." So, they were slowly returning to the Xaviar/Time Travel arc.

I'm halfway through Batman Forever. I think both Two-Face and Riddler were way too zany in this, like wannabe Jokers. Yes, Jim Carrey's Riddler is very reminiscent of Frank Gorshin's iconic portrayal in the Adam West series. But I think a more serious depiction would have worked better for this movie.

Also interesting that the live-action cinematic depiction of Bruce Wayne goes from rich guy with an old family mansion and some business dealings in the Burton movies, to more explicitly uber-rich here, with Wayne described as a billionaire, and the look at the Wayne building/tower and Wayne Enterprises which I don't think were ever actually shown in Batman and Batman Returns.

watching John Waters' Crybaby and Mel Gibson's Hamlet on Tubi

also watching a recording of old 1980s horror movie Trick or Treat that came on the Comet Channel on Hulu Live a couple of weeks ago

Batman (1989) and Batman Returns.

I'm picturing an alternate timeline where Superman III and IV were much better and we eventually got a crossover movie with Christopher Reeves Superman and Michael Keaton Batman.

I would have enjoyed that.

On topic, still making my way through my Quantum Leap (2022 version) DVD's.
