watching the Dune 2021 remake on Netflix today. What's so great about the remake anyway? what makes it any different than the classic 1980s movie besides the Harkkonens being bald and pasty in the remake?

It hews more closely to the original book. And there are no Weirding Modules, thank goodness.

Also, they managed to slide in the phrase, You scrub your ass with sand...

well the remake doesnt have creepy moments like the Baron ripping life plugs out of people like in the 1984 Dune movie.

also guess Alia's not going to be in the sequel? Pretty much the remake and the sequel is all about frikkin Zendeya as Chani

I am listening to the old AMC Breaking Bad podcast and Breaking Good podcast for Season 5 episodes of Breaking Bad and it's really interesting getting that 2013 perspective and speculation on where people think it's going to go.

It's a really well-made, fantastic movie with a great cast and effects, and the 80s movie is just extravagant, bad, blockbuster schlock.

Pretty much the remake and the sequel is all about frikkin Zendeya as Chani

I am listening to the old AMC Breaking Bad podcast and Breaking Good podcast for Season 5 episodes of Breaking Bad and it's really interesting getting that 2013 perspective and speculation on where people think it's going to go.

Same here! I'm up to 403 of Breaking Bad Insider, but decided to jump to the last season of Better Call Saul Insider for now, then I'll go back. On 105 of Breaking Good's rewatch. I'm really looking forward to doing a rewatch myself after listening to these shows. There's a lot of stuff I didn't catch on a first watch.
