What are you watching???

Catching up with Wynonna Earp, season four:)

I probably should have watched season three before hand as I don't remember how it ended:(

I watched the NCIS: New Orleans season 4 finale while waiting for my car to be repaired this morning. It was (melo)dramatic, but I enjoyed it.

Just finished "Breaking Bad" for the first time.

Very good show. I'm not sure I agree that it's one of the greatest shows ever....but it was easily 4/5 stars and very well done.

Watched the Friends Reunion.......nicely done overall and I feel OLD.

I did too.

I enjoyed it, but the lack of Paul Rudd was kind of distracting. It was almost like there was a falling out between Rudd and the rest of the cast that just talking about Mike was forbidden on this special other than like 5 seconds at the end. I also wish they had given more time to Wheeler and The guy who played Gunther and less time to Lady Gaga. In fact, it should have been Taylor Swift doing smelly cat with Lisa instead of Lady Gaga.

Other than that, I liked it. Corden wasn't too bad, and I loved the extended quiz show and the bloopers. Also, the comment segment around the world was really nice. These really were friends that you spent time with for 10 years. I actually just watched the series like 2 months ago but I do remember how significant this series was, and I think the reunion did a good job capturing that.

I really felt bad for Perry. I'm glad it was nothing more than dental surgery, but considering past issues, it could have been worse.

I think another host may have been better but he wasn't as bad as I feared.

Rudd is actually in London filming the next Antman flick under the filming codename DUST BUNNY at Longcross Studios. So there was no falling out with anyone. He's just busy.

As far as looks.....I think they've all done ok with aging. Schwimmer and Anniston are the least changed. Kudrow looks great and natural. LeBlanc and I both have gained some weight since 2004. Perry with dental, and poor Courtney would have looked so much better if she had not had work done IMHO.

Ezri was cute as a button.

You wanted to teach her bad words, or how to smoke cigarettes.

So sweet and innocent.

She made Worf "meow".

OH!

Friends?

S'cool.

The Fall Of The Roman Empire, starring Ben Kenobi (Original) and General Chang.

Great film and, yes, I will be watching Gladiator next to keep up the vibe.

Watched it too last night and it didn't make me feel old but man did the actors age and it just shows how much time has actually passed since it originally aired.

It was near perfect - the only thing that bothered me were the kind of assembly line wheeling out of beloved characters like Janice or Gunther, have them speak for a minute and off they go.

What blew me away though was the segment where people spoke about what Friends meant and means to them ( the one guy whose father was dying and Friends helped him through that tough time) - they got friggin' Malala (Nobel Prize for Peace winner) on the show who is a fan :)

I am about their age.......so if THEY age.....it means I have too. Plus my daughter turns 25 today.......I don't know how the hell THAT happened :guffaw:
Happy birthday to your daughter!

I feel your pain. My son wasn't even a thought when I joined the board, and now he's 18. I swear he was 10 just five minutes ago!

My daughter and I watched Pride and Prejudice (Colin Firth) over the past week. I had never seen it, but I do usually enjoy Firth's acting. I was very pleased with the miniseries, and she loved being able to share it with me.

Last night: 1970’s Tora! Tora! Tora!, streamed on YouTube. An excellent account of the events leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the attack itself. The skillful use of models, practical f/x, stock footage, and real ships and planes was so much more convincing to me than most of the CGI crap that Hollywood has cranked out over the past twenty years or so.

Tonight: Friends, The Reunion, streamed on HBO Max. I miss the 90s, and watching this made me miss them even more. The cast seems to be aging well for the most part, which is nice to see. I was impressed with the rebuilding/recreation of the original sets, that was cool.
I’m looking forward to when the cast of The Big Bang Theory does one of these around 2035.

.

Good film. Got it on DVD and watched it a few weeks ago.

Catching up with Lucifer, though Netflix seems to have forgotten I've seen the first half of the season.

Watched some of Lucifer season 5B. The musical episode was pretty well done. Overall it’s been pretty good so far.

last night we watched the Friends Reunion. It was a nice little bit of nostalgia comfort food.

Just finished the Indy 500. Great race this year. Felt really good to see people at a big event again.

I just saw City of Life and Death. It is one of the most horrifying war movies ever made. It is set during the Battle of Nanking and it's aftermath, the Nanking Massacre. Towards the movie's end, it featured a funeral procession where the Japanese honoured their fallen battle dead.

Big TV-watching week around here. Hubs and I *finally* watched Game of Thrones, season 8. (I borrowed the DVD set from our newly-reopened library!) I finished American Housewife, too. Season 5 was okay, especially considering *all* the cast shuffling. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted.

Now my daughter and I are watching Elementary.
