What are you watching???

"My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" David Letterman interviewing Dave Chapelle........two extremely intelligent men talking.

Last night more fun with bad movies........ everyone else might hate them but I love them.

Rampage and The Darkest Hour.

The latter I think should have been fleshed out more. I really liked the concept of those aliens but again the trope is "Earth is special" and there is no real reason why those aliens couldn't have just drifted to the asteroid belt or the Moon or outer planets to dig up whatever they wanted, but then it would be a very short movie.

If the Darkest Hour is the one I think it is, saw that at the cinema and thought it was ok. (Picked it up for a quid on blu ray a year or so back)

Rampage was rediculous but I expected that going in. (I have the game somewhere too, probably for Amiga).

I'm watching Blackkklansman at the moment.

I really liked the concept of the aliens in that movie because they had no solid form, you only catch occasional glimpses of them under certain circumstances, and they can attack without warning and you have no clue unless you have lights or electrical stuff around you going off, and even then no real clue. The movie could have been better but I just love watching it.

About to watch Picard got the box set so will watch that tonight.

Started with episode 2 of Discovery Season 3. Very enjoyable.

Started on The Right Stuff over on National Geographic through Disney+. Watched the first 3 episodes currently available. Enjoyable, though bit of a slow burn. For me, the episodes seem to suffer some pacing issues. Since I'm an absolute sucker for just about anything on our space program, this was a no brainer watch.

The just dropped a new episode---I'm about to watch that. I agree, much slower burn than the movie and I miss Chuck Yeager. I too am a sucker for this stuff soooooooooo here I go!

I was surprised to find season 3 of Aeon Flux on CBS-AA. I haven't seen it in almost 30 years. I do wish they had the rest, or maybe I just haven't found it yet.

I did, but I don't really remember it very well. Must not have left much of an impression.

Same. I actually own the movie but have watched it only twice and it's not memorable at all.

I ended up liking Mortal Engines despite the thin story. It's steam punk star wars.

It had it's good points (and I liked seeing Frankie Adams in it)

Did you ever see the movie they did of that with Charlize Theron?

Saw that at the cinema, but not since and can't remember anything about it. (For some reason I was thinking someone else was in it, but that may be Ultraviolet)

Raw Deal (1986)

Action movie with Schwarzenegger, where I think the film editor was fired, because the movie makes no fucking sense.

Borat: Subsequent Moviefilm on Amazon Prime.

Good stuff and a bit on the nose with some of its commentary on the US.
