What are you watching???

Bounced back into an The Expanse rewatch. The news about season 5 got me a little excited .... Just starting season 3. This show is soooo well done. I'd forgotten just how good the writing and VFX really are. Outstanding! So enjoying it all again...

Which is deadlier Omega or Protomolecule?
Niether are deadly.

An omega explosion left survivors in tact a few feet away from the heart of the explosion.

I can only assume that the protomolecule stops using people as raw resources, after it's connected a solar system to the intergalactic network.

Taking a break from Andromeda (Thought I had all of season 2 on dvd and actually only have about half)

Currently watching Discovery, season three, episode one (That hope is you)

I enjoyed it but
Now that Burnham said they can't give the truth serum to her I kind of want to see Tilly on it:D

Oh god yes....... That would be interesting.

I just finished Steampunk Star Wars, otherwise known as Mortal Engines.

Where to begin?

6/10

TNT's The Closer 'Last Word', twenty-first episode of the seventh season & final episode of the series, via HBO Max.

Went to AMC Lufkin for a Sunday matinee of The Kid Detective.

And then I started TNT's Major Crimes via HBO Max when I got home. Watching 'The Ecstasy and the Agony', fourth episode of the series, now.

It's weird watching Major Crimes and thinking "That's Roslin the cow from BSG" she's such a good actress, and so different here.

Last week my mom and I started watching Meet the Chimps, the new Disney+ series following the chimps at the Chimp Haven sanctuary in Louisiana.

I started the second season last night. Mary McDonnell is a great actress.

Picked up the blu ray for The Incredible Hulk for cheap at Best Buy, watching it now because it is one of my absolute favorite MCU movies.

I don't mean this to sound bad and hope it doesn't but I was blown away by her age in Major crimes and how amazing she looks for her age. She's a fox

I watched a few horror films recently.

Friday the 13th (1980) was probably more interesting when it came out, but besides a few good kill effects, its pretty boring. It probably created most if not all of the "summer camp/reckless teen killer" tropes, but those are basically all it has. The characters are paper thin even for the genre, and with the killer not even appearing on screen until the last 10ish monutes, the whole thing feels long and uneventful even at less then 100 minutes.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors was ok. some creative/spooky sequences, the characters were decent, and Freddy was really creepy, as he should be. But the script wasn't very strong, it took a little bit to get going, and the final events in the dream realm were a bit underwhelming. Definitely a decent film, worth watching if you like the series, but nothing spectacular.
