What are you watching???

Though dark and depressing, the acting and the cast absolutely sell it. Stick with it, you'll not be disappointed. Really is excellent.

It is really good--Sean Bean is awesome--but holy crap, it's depressing. I'll finish the series but it's really bumming me out.

Finished my binge of Ripper Street. Man, what a good series and they definitely stuck the landing at the end.
Looking for my next series to watch. Any recommendations out there?

Doctor Who - Series 6 almost on 7 Although I started series 1 as I don't have it in my collection and recently got access via a streaming service I recently joined that has it and it's one my faves of the 2005 revival haha.
Andromeda - Season 1
Transformers War For Cybertron - Chapter 1 "Seige"
Transformers Prime - Season 1

Went out to the Cinemark Lufkin for Dirty Dancing, had Theater 12 all to myself.

Back home now, watching Cobra Kai 'Counterbalance', fifth episode of the first season, via Netflix.

Whitechapel, modern detective show that also deals with the history of Jack the Ripper.
Copper, which came before Ripper Street, but they are very, very similar.
Hinterland, Shetland, Line of Duty, Happy Valley: great present day detective shows.
Vera, Luther, Maigret (w/Rowan Atkinson)
Unforgotten, Case Histories.
.
.to name a few.

Not that I'm obsessed with detective shows, or anything....:shifty:

I realize that I am quite late to the party with Elfen Lied, after all the hype about it in 2006, and for whatever reason I postponed it, but it certainly lives up to the hype.

It lives up to about all this image suggests with it's concept of a tragic serial killer main character.

I started watching King of the Hill for the first time in over a decade.

Got to the episode where the Megalomart explodes. It's so weird. Remembering the ads where they basically said one person dies if they couldn't move the show to Vegas, then they end up keeping the show in Texas but killing Buckley. The way they advertised this show at this point was super weird. They actually set it up so "OMG somebody died! It's either Hank, Luanne, Buckley or Chuck Mangioni!!!!" Advertising gimmicks were weird in the 90s. They did something similar for DS9 the episode Dax died. "ONE OF THESE CHARACTERS WILL DIE!"

I don't know what they were thinking about behind the scenes but it really seemed like they were going to move the show to Vegas.

@auntiehill , thank you for the recommendations. I found season 1 & 2 of WhiteChapel available over on Amazon (all 6 episodes, ha!). Was a bit slow to get into, but now I'm enjoying it.

Wow, there really did exist an episode of Seinfeld I’d never seen.

George pretends to be a tourist, Lippman opens up a muffin top business.

I wonder if there are any in season 9.

Edit: Wait, that’s how George lost the Yankees job? I thought that just happened off screen.

Any links? I've never heard that before and my Google-Fu is failing me.
