What are you watching???

Last night:

The Loudest Voice 1x06 - 2015
Succession 2x01 - The Summer Palace
Squidbillies 12x01
Squidbillies 12x02 - Galvin
Fear the Walking Dead 5x08 - Is Anybody Out There?
Legion 3x05 - Chapter 24

Yes, my viewing habits are a bit erratic ;)

Been watching Barry via. HBOGO for the last evening or two. Half way into Season 2, me thinks. It's pretty good, in a dry, dark humor kind of way. It's one of those shows that you either love it, or hate it. I happen to be enjoying it quite a bit. Pretty fun, weird ride!

From the Earth to the Moon over on HBOGO. How the hell did I ever miss this? It's very, very well done. Lot of bigger name actors sprinkled throughout. Made in 1998, the VFX are at times rather dated, but the production values are really strong. Excellent 12 part limited series. I think I'm on episode 5 or 6 at the moment. Tom Hanks (an to a lesser extent, Ron Howard) did an excellent job producing this.

Quantico. I gave up part way through season two, so I'm seeing if it's better on a binge rather than weekly watch.

Just finished episodes 6-10 of From the Earth to the Moon last night. Basically, the stories of Apollo 12, 13, 14 and 15. They tended to focus on one aspect of the personal side of the mission, not so much the mission itself. For example, the Apollo 12 mission focused more on Alan Bean and the crew's story, Apollo 13 was told from a very 'earth based' prospective of how the media covered the incident, the Apollo 14 story focused more on Alan Shepard and his overcoming his inner-ear medical issue that kept him sidelined since the Mercury program. The episode on Apollo 15 really gave perspective on the true exploration and geological science that the astronauts had to take on (and learn from scratch) and the discoveries it yielded. All excellent stories and new prospective on Apollo stories I thought I knew.

Outstanding series, I highly recommend.

The Blue Gardenia (1953), an old crime thriller directed by Fritz Lang.

Raymond Burr plays the murder victim and a very dapper George Reeves plays the cop.

So, yes, Superman is investigating Perry Mason's murder! :)
