What are you watching???

i just watched the wandering earth on netflix
and i'm happy i did. it was a new take on the classic global-disaster movies,
i thought it was beautiful.

The TImeless finale, then Legends of Tomorrow.
I hope that miniseries comes to DVD soon.

What I'm watching: The DVD set of Logan's Run. The single season spin-off from the movie starring Trapper's sidekick from the Trapper John MD show.

Supernatural, "Don't Call Me Shurley." It's one of my favorite episode; I've seen it several times.

Getting ready for the Line of Duty finale after, but I've been binge watching the second series of Lucifer til then

House (The Japanese horror film).

Very bizarre and cool film. It’s sort of like a Japanese Cabin In The Woods. Only all the deaths occur through weird psychedelic low budget stop motion animation.

Ghostbusters - the new one. I adore them all-cannot pass one on tv anymore than I can pass up an Alien starting Sigourney.

Chernobyl from HBO on Sky Atlantic. It's very chilling to watch. With both the Challenger and Chernobyl disasters happening in 1986, it was not a good year for preserving faith in dumb humans always knowing the right thing to do when in charge of technology.

I too, just watched the first episode of the mini-series. Chilling is an understatement, it's down right disturbing. The manager was a complete tool, especially when two different people specifically told him that they looked directly into the core of the reactor. The most disturbing thing for me was, while watching, realizing all the characters that they've introduced and that you have a vested interest in ..... will be 'dead' in hours or days ......

Excellent show, highly recommend it to everyone...

The incompetence of the manager (who survived and got 10 years in a gulag as a convenient scapegoat) didn't stop with him. It went all the way up the system where such a catastrophic failure could not be admitted to be possible in the perfect socialist utopia. Not that such abnegation of reality can't also take place in capitalist systems although the motivation is usually to avoid blame, minimise financial penalties and/or avoid bad publicity. How many bankers went to jail following the global banking scandal of 10 or so years ago? A few retired early with cushy parachutes and one in the UK lost his knighthood. The governments bailed out the banks and we're still paying for that. No lessons were learned.

Watched Big Bang Theory tonight. I actually got a bit misty-eyed over that scene where Leonard confronts his mom.

Finished the 4th season of Lucifer. It was excellent. The perfect ending too considering Netflix cancels everything.

Only one HUGE issue I have with the finale episode.
