Watching "Bancroft". It's a British cop/thriller/drama. Rather good. The basic gist is that a young detective is put in charge of cold cases. One of her superiors - Bancroft who is a competent, effective and ambitious detective of probably a generation older than the young detective is actually (no secrets to this as it is early revealed), well Bancroft is the one who killed the victim in the cold case. Years earlier when she was herself was new to the police force.

It's making for some really good cat and mouse scenes. The acting is pretty good too with both female leads just organically fitting into their roles beautifully.

Started watching through Brooklyn 99 again on Hulu.

Thought occurred to me. If Brooklyn 99 is a midseason show now, how are they going to do the halloween heist episode? They either have to break their tradition or move it to another holiday. This season will there be a Valentine's Day heist?

Channel Zero Season 1 Episode 1

Well, that was 44 minutes of my life wasted. I'm morbidly curious to see how they stretch a premise that couldn't hold a single episode up through 5 more, but not enough to watch another episode.

John Oliver last night had some weird continuity porn last night. They started like it was a new episode, then started to follow up on the 'mouse conspiracy' from the previous week, after which the transmission cut out in a way that implies mouse sabotage and they rerun a previous episode.

Saw the first episode of "Apple Tree Yard" last night. I'm thinking what is this all about, it was unnerving. She's having this affair and the guy is a spook and borderline exhibitionist. Then that last scene where this other guy hits her. Hubby and I both looked up and made the same horrified gasp.
