What are you watching???

Back to the Future.

'Cos, you know, it's on TV and it's one of those films that, wherever I come in at, must be watched until the end.

Hugo - Run for it Marty!!

Catching up with Sleepy Hollow now. Earlier, the first episode of Teen Wolf was on (I'd never seen the series before now).

Later, I may watch The Night Manager (Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie).

Clerks

I've never seen this before. It was pretty funny, actually. Its only the second Kevin Smith film I've ever seen, and its a lot better than the other one (Tusk, which sucked).

I've been watching Justified which is fantastic! How did I miss this show when it aired? I've also been catching up with last season of The Americans.

Mad Max: Fury Road

Decided to watch this again because while what I saw was a fun yet hugely derivative, action romp of little significance, the critics (and the Oscars) apparently saw a meaningful piece of feminist art.

Nope, still just an action romp in the desert where the most attractive woman was rather conveniently not desired by Joe. Good fun though.

Jane the Virgin.

Earlier, I discovered that Horizon was 20 times better at blue screening than Renegades, and about 50 times better at working out what I want from a TOS prequel than Enterprise.

Tore my way through The Leftovers Season 2 - hypnotic acting, beautiful direction, infuriating character moves, lyrical structure, brilliant fake out and just enough bat-shit crazy shenanigans to keep the "WTF"-ometer ticking over.

The best show on HBO at the moment and I'm fascinated to see how Perrotta/Lindelof will tie it off in its final third season. In fact, in typing that sentence I have realised I had completely missed the point of the show... there is no doubt it will NOT be tied off at all

Hugo - Do you want to drop me in or do you want to push me in? Pushing is probably easier

Stag

Watchable but completely ridiculous. A group of the world's biggest dick-bags being killed off in the Highlands. I only watched for Reese Shearsmith and Tim Key and they weren't in it for very long.

Mallrats

Another Kevin Smith film. Parts of this movie were hilarious, and the sidekick character (played by Jason Lee) was generally entertaining, but the main character and his relationship with his girlfriend and her father was boring and I never cared about it at all. It was worth watching for the funny parts, and nothing in the movie was terrible, but overall its not a great movie.
