What are you watching???

11.22.63, streamed on Hulu.

A miniseries adapted from the Stephen King book, starring James Franco. The pilot episode was good, looking forward to episode 2.

Might take a look at that. I hadn't been keeping track so I didn't know they'd made an adaption.

Later I'll be watching Death in Paradise.

John Wick

Well that sure was some monumentally dumb shit. To be fair, for a man who can't actually act, Reeves has done well for himself. And the deal he did with the devil to look 30 no matter what has been beneficial.

Pitch Perfect 2

Despite not having seen the first one, I chose to live on the edge and watch this. So it's basically Glee the movie. Because Glee the TV show apparently wasn't enough torture for the world. Even Rebel Wilson couldn't save it.

About midway through the 5th (final) season of The Wire, just have another episode or two left to go in S1 of Mad Men.

Catastrophe from Channel 4 (via Amazon). Lovely little British/American crossover comedy with an acid tongue and a warm heart about one-week-standers who end up pregnant.

Perfect winter viewing

Hugo - Why does everything have to go right for her? I wish sometimes her dad would get caught with child porn, just to knock the smug out of her.

I'm in the midst of a SF spree.

2001: A Space Odyessey: What were they on when this was produced?
The Time Machine: Doesn't suffer for dropped scenes from the book at all, and I liked the added anti-war material.

Soylent Green (current): So far 2022 looks an awful lot like the 1970s.

I'm watching all the trailers for The Aliens that channel 4 are churning out. Tripped never got this kind of treatment so I guess they think this has a better chance of catching an audience. I'll give it a go but I smell fail.

Did Tripped fail?

Is there going to be no more Tripped?

:brickwall:

I really liked Crashing.

Just finished the new Death in Paradise.

40 episodes/murders and counting.

At what point do the tourists stop coming?

Maybe the air fair and accommodation goes down per every murder on the Island?

Nothing confirmed on Tripped but they stuck it on e4 and gave it minimal publicity so I don't fancy its chances. The Aliens meanwhile is on proper channel 4 and is getting proper trailers and even silly ones that pretend to interrupt other adverts.

Aren't they always? But it's comedy where the alien hair is sold as a drug.

Bring back Alien Nation.
