What are you watching???

Last Saturday's Intruders.

Sanctuary ended, what, two years ago? In that short span of time, the actor that played Tesla has aged twenty years. At first, I was happy to see him appear in this episode, but then it was quite jarring to notice his headful of silver hair.

The season premiere of SNL.

WHAT THE ****?! SNL has always gone through good and bad phases but this is even worse than the show as in the late 90s. I know, last season was supposed to be a 'rebuilding' phase where they were trying to recover from their mass exodus of their biggest cast members. But the writing was still just fine. It was still funny.

They run a sketch about a veterinarian where all the pets die. A comedy sketch about an animal hospital constantly telling people that their beloved pets are dead. A comedy sketch. This was meant to make people laugh. And they stuck it in the first half hour.

And Weekend Update. Last year, Cecily Strong was awesome, and Colin Jost sucked. So naturally they paired Colin Jost with a new guy. And Michael Che, considering it's his first episode he did well. I like him, I think he'll do well on the show, and he's the first black weekend update host which is also a good thing. But why not Michael Che and Cecily Strong? Holy crap. And Cecily Strong shows up as 'The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started A Conversation With At A Party'. Only instead of something that reminded you of an annoying person, it felt like a mad lib of random crap.

And why is Ariana Grande wearing cat ears? Is that her thing? It reminds me of 13 year olds at anime conventions.

I thought the worst Saturday Night Live ever got was the few years after Norm McDonald was fired. No, this is much, much worse.

Edit: And the episode actually had some decent sketches, but all in the last half hour, when they expect the majority of viewers to already be tuned out.

Just watched "Deja Vu" with Denzel Washington and the very hot Paula Patton. Not too bad, although the highway timechase scene was a bit over-the-top.

Draft Day.

I hate sports, but I like sports movies. Weird?

Tom Welling learnt how to act since Smallville finished?

Seems so.

Tom and Kevin shared a scene, full of spit and vinegar.

Took me a second.

It's Clark and Jonathan Kent!

:)

(Perry White from the 2006 Brandon Routh movie is shuffled in there too.)

Brooklyn nine nine 2nd season premier. boring episode, turned to sunday night football after 10 minutes.

I gotta say, Frank Langella is building quite an odd resume. Who else has played Dracula, Zorro, Skeletor, Perry White, and Richard M. Nixon?

(Although it dawns on me that Anthony Hopkins has played at least two of those roles as well.)

Just finished watching the latest episode of Doctor Who, and now I plan on watching "Good Luck and Good Night"...and maybe "The Sapphires"...and maybe the first episode of "Black-ish."

Currently mid way through season 2 of OUAT pending (hopefully) the release of the R2/B version of Season 3 in October as our local channels have dumped it:(

(If all else fails, I could get the US Blu-Ray version as it's apparently region-free, but I'd prefer to double check first)

Later on, recording Graceland.

Last night, I watched the Simpsons/Family Guy crossover, The Strain, Mr. Pickles and Squidbillies.

Tonight, I'll probably continue watching season 2 of Star Trek on Blu-Ray after watching Gotham.

Horribly, the new season has only just begun, and I'm already falling behind. Still haven't watched last night's "The Strain" yet, and I'm two eps behind "Witches of East End" now . . ..
