Watched Amazing Spiderman 2 last night. I liked it.
I saw TASM 2 the other night. It was nowhere near as bad as it's reputation. It wasn't a great movie but was pretty good. It's definitely much better written than Under the Dumb which I watched last night.

This is the kind of film that really tests your tolerance for cultural relativism. It's the sort of fake idyllic fantasy that in modern days threatens to induce vomiting, and the technicolor looks unnecessarily shiny and unavoidably fake.
And I've seen other films from the 1940s which aren't as culturally atrocious.

(Trying to) Watch an episode of Under the Dome (last week's one)... it's testing my patience in regards to writing, etc.

My first time watching Seth Meyers on the Late Late Show.
I drank a little too much so I was feeling a bit too much acid reflux reaction to get to sleep and felt, why not?
This is why not. Such cheesy writing. The cheesy writing is not surprising, but I kind of held out hope that a guy who did a good job on SNL would warrant slightly better writing. But nope. Anyone who has a late night show on a major network has horrible, horrible writing. Cliche garbage based on stupid (Mostly age) stereotypes.
And it's not Seth Meyers' fault. It's impossible to make this kind of show not cheesy. Anybody else in his position would be equally bad or worse. Kudos to Seth Meyers for guaranteeing income for the next few years.
I'm sure when Stephen Colbert is in the Late Show he'll be equally bad through no fault of his own.

Seriously, the material is bad. He had this sequence about he was out playing street hockey and people thought he looked too old for said activity and it 'May be the last time he ever plays street hockey'.
Dude, you're 40. You're not going to be burning up the NHL but you're nowhere near too old to casually play sports with your friends. Are you seriously playing into the cheesy MTV garbage that anyone over 35 is an old man who should just sit on their porch all day? Jesus effing Christ. Is there some law that all late night network shows have to be mind numbingly idiotic?
