What are you watching???

Over the past several days I've enjoyed the most recent episodes of Discovery, Ready Room, Blood of the Void, The Mandalorian, Young Sheldon, Mom, and Full Frontal, finished some classic Doctor Who (Doctor Who and the Silurians, which features a plague and a character refusing to get a shot for it, while another goes travelling while feeling ill...too real), some classic TOS, TAS, TNG and DS9 on Netflix, the last 2 episodes of Archer, the past weeks SF Debris reviews and a bunch of Youtube. Good times.

Sweet! How is it? I wasn't sure there would ever be a third season.

Enjoying it though I prefer the scenary from the the previous seasons more The current backdrop is a little more familiar though:) . It's possibly a little more violent, but yeah, I've thought it was good so far (and we're four episodes in).

Watched A Christmas Story with my teenage niece who had never seen it before. She was decidedly unimpressed with the Chinese dinner scene and the fa-ra-ra-ra boughs of horry. It's been interesting to see how both her and her brother have grown up with these various sensibilities and sensitivities with no sense of putting on airs, it's their nature right to the core which is cool. For me, I have to admit it's been a learning experience over the years.

TV has been Mandalorian, Discovery, Expanse and not too much else. Watched The Good Lord Bird on Showtime which is an interesting take on the story of the abolitionist John Brown presumably taking a few liberties with history to jazz it up. Ethan Hawke goes all in on this one for better or worse and is quite memorable.

Yesterday I finished up the first season of His Dark Materials, and then started season 3 of The Expanse. I watched part of the season when it aired on Syfy, but I ended up falling behind and never got caught up. I forgot just how great that show is.
I can't remember if I've mentioned here, but I've also been working my way through the Jon Pertwee era of Doctor Who. Right now I'm up to episode 4 of The Colony in Space. Once I'm done with that one I'm probably going to take a break and finish up Season 2 of The Runaways and then Season 2 of Heartland.
