Still on THE DUKES OF HAZZARD (season four) and I also just finished three days of the 2015 miniseries ASCENSION. It was good for the most part, but part three left some plot points hanging, leading to (I thought anyway) an unsatisfying conclusion. It really needed a part four. Or at the very least a part three that ran thirty minutes longer so they could wrap things up better.

I've got three more seasons of DUKES to go so that's gonna be a while. I don't know what to watch with it now. I was thinking TAKEN. That's a good ten day project, and one of my favorite miniseries.

ASCENSION was supposed to lead to a complete series, but TPTB never greenlit it. And I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree with them. Good concept, but the level of unnecessary 'fanservice' was among the worst I've ever seen. I have bought an old British anthology called Out of the Unknown on my Amazon account. It has a similarly themed story in 'Thirteen To Centorius.'

It was supposed to be a series? Really? I didn't know that. I agree with you though. It's just as well it wasn't. Even if I had liked the ending of part three, I wasn't interested enough in the concept to follow it for several years. What we got was good enough. Well, except for the end.
