Out of the blue Farscape popped up on my suggested viewing on Amazon Prime. I've never seen it before and figured I'd give it a first time try, here some 20 years after the fact. I think I've watched the first 5 episodes of season 1. The VFX is dated and actually pretty poor when compared to ST: Voyager (contemporary of the time). It has its charm though, and some decent sci-fi concepts. Could have used probably twice the meager production budget they were dealt. Might hang around for more, if there's nothing else on ...

I recently started going through season 1 of 'Enterprise'.
Time for a rewatch after a long time.

About 1/2 way through season 2 of Farscape. Dialog is sometimes excellent but the cheese factor is very think in some episodes. Overall, liking it, but I think I'm going to back burner this 'binge' for a few days. Getting a little burned out after 30+ episodes...

Better Call Saul season 4 on Netflix.

I realized today, I recognize Ethan Phillips much faster if you hear him before you see him. In this case he plays a judge.

Blake's 7, series 4. Then I'll get to 1-3 afterward. 4 was an influence on "Firefly", which will be after that. Or "Spin City" if I get depressed. That show was funny, Stuart and Carter were the best comedic double-act in ages. The Trek connection is that Stuart's actor was the captain of the Enterprise-B (before "John Harriman" the drafts for toys had used "Harry Johnson" as a placeholder name, unwittingly foreshadowing Stuart and expensive on eBay but true nonetheless... thank you Memory Alpha for such an esoteric find!:guffaw:)

I think that the mixture of serious and the cheese is what made Farscape so good! I was blown away when it was originally on. Puppets as main characters! And a certain man in black who was an awesome villain!

I remember being annoyed it was cancelled, and on a cliffhanger to boot! At least it got the miniseries to finish it off. It was the Firefly of its day, cancellation and all!

Really must rewatch it sometime! :)
