What are you watching???

Supergirl season four at the moment. (The blu's arrived this morning for most of the Arrowverse. Legends seems to have been delayed though:( )

Watching the pilot episode of "Prodigal Son." So far...not impressed .

This episode is full of cringe-worthy Hollywood cliches:
The actress playing the man's mother is only 12 years older than he is.
Every dramatic scene is announced with corny musical "Ba-Baaaaam!" cues.
Someone being a serial killer is played like it's a personality quirk.

Michael Sheen is wasted in this drivel.

Sunnyside.

This is a good show. It's basically Community. So I'm guessing, by season 3 it will have stopped being simple and realistic and will have turned into nerdy high concept genre nods.

I like the Asian kids who just throw wads of cash around, and the way the woman just happens to have a part time job in every place they go to.

Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans

This is ok. The writer(s?) obviously didn't bother to watch more than maybe a single episode of the old Teen Titans show, and the TTG staff's bitterness at old TT fans comes through, but there are a few good jokes and there is a bunch of cool cameos.

This actually reminds me of the Turtles Forever special, except that the staff of the 2003 TMNT Cartoon that the special was a part of actually had a lot of reverence and generally just had fun with the 80s Turtles, while this movie seems to wish it didn't have to exist and doesn't particularly like the 2003 Titans (it doesn't hate them, but it almost goes out of its way to pretend they were always super seriously and almost grim, which they really weren't).

I'm watching "The Good Place"
This series have flown under the radar for me.. Really enjoyable!

I was watching Voltron Legendary Defender (which I will forever maintain is and deserves to be considered one of the very best animated series in history, controversies surrounding Seasons 7 and 8 notwithstanding), but I finished it a couple of days ago and am now watching Robotech and Attack on Titan (which I actually started watching last weekend).

Watched the season premiere of The Rookie - decent start but it bugged me a little how easily they could explain a good character from season 1 leaving the show in 2 sentences (she complained about sexual harrassment on the show and felt it wasn't properly cared about from the studio so she left) and in one scene Fillion had a cool Star Wars themed TShirt on and i learned later it was a new ride in a theme park that Disney promoted this way

In other news i have started to rewatch Frasier - back then i only caught it irregularly but i have been watching so many clips on Youtube that i thought i might as well watch the show properly. Now in season 4 and i'm having a blast - the show is so well written and the cast is brilliant. I know about the major developments throughout the series but it doesn't take away the fun even with the xth episode where there is a misunderstanding and one character thinks the other is talking about something else leading to fun situations.

^Frasier is a great show!

watched Carnival Row... Good stuff.

Frasier is a great show, I rewatch it every winter and this winter will be th last time before it's exclusive to the 'Peacock' streaming service.
