What are you watching???

I've never watched the whole series, just bits and pieces.
It's part of a project to do a chronological rewatch of every live-action Superman related thing ever.

I'm particularly looking forward to the Smallville rewatch, for the weekly scene where Lana comes up to the barn loft and gives Clark a whole buncha shit about some damn thing or other, then Clark looks forlorn while a sad pop song plays.

(My wife says, "You'd put up with it. You know you would." And she's not wrong.)

That is one of the big things that cheesed me off with Smallvile. I gave up after 2 seasons of it. How did the series end?

By essentially becoming Metropolis in its latter seasons, with Clark and Lois Lane working at the Daily Planet while maintaining only tenuous connections to the series' namesake locale. (Lana was long gone before the show's end.) They still managed to avoid having Clark suit up as Superman until the closing minutes of the final episode, however.

I kid Smallville, but I actually really love the show (even the Clark/Lana melodrama). :techman:

Spoiler alert: Clark Kent becomes Superman. :)

Seriously, Lex becomes his arch-enemy, and Clark Kent ends up with Lois Lane, not Lana, and he goes to work for the Daily Planet, and in the final moments of final episode he finally puts on the suit and becomes the Man of Steel.

And Chloe gets busted for sex-trafficking . . . oh wait, that was in real life.

In one of last night's Adventures of Superman episodes, "The Mind Machine," I spotted something I never noticed before. A Daily Planet headline is shown regarding Lois's upcoming testimony against a mob boss. The article's text begins, "Lois Lane, comely Planet reporter ...."

Aw, man. Different times.

Oh god most women even back then would have found that insulting I think.

Went to see Spider-Man: Far From Home 2D with my family at an Alamo Drafthouse for the Fourth of July.

Back at my rental now, watching The Old Man & the Gun via Hulu.

Tried to watch an ABC Studios International joint production called Reef Break with Poppy Montgomery and Ray Stevenson. It looks amazing filmed in Queensland, but holy crap is the writing terrible. Real amateur hour with the dialogue and plotting. I’m out after two episodes.

Poor Poppy she hasn't had a good TV show in ages. She was good on Without A Trace then got her on show with Unforgettable and that series ended on a cliffhanger with her co star being shot in the chest.

Did ya stay for both bonus scenes during the credits? Not everyone does, ya know.

Watching Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles via Hulu. I've seen the first two, the second was a favorite when I was younger, figured might as well watch this one while I have the Starz free trial.

Yep. Our little group typically does (even without bonus scenes). If nothing else, it gives time for the exits to clear a bit.

Now I'm home, just catching up with Catch 22. It's been a long time since I've seen Croc Dundee 3 (or even any of them actually. I know I had the first two on VHS at some point)
