What are you reading?

I finished Terminus and gave it a 4.5/5. Now I am back to listening to listening to The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek which I put aside while I listened to Terminus.

My hard back read at the moment is The Jigsaw Puzzle: Piercing Together a History by Anne D Williams.

Run that by me again. You FINISHED The Neverending Story? How's that even possible? I thought ....

It's all Picard's fault. Or let's say Rios. Well, Rios might be someone not only to show up in ST: Picard, but also to read the Neverending Story - if so, I would be back into the story....

The Authentic Life of Billy The Kid by Pat Garrett.

It's a strange thing, reading a biography written by the man who killed the book's subject. He wrote it to counter all the claims made by books trying to turn The Kid into a hero. You don't have to dig too far into old west history to realize there weren't many heroes.

I finished “Unmaking a Murder: The Mysterious Death of Anna-Jane Cheney” by Graham Archer. Henry Keogh spent 20 years in prison in South Australia. He was convicted largely due to an autopsy that was poorly performed and even more poorly documented.

Now I am listening to ‘Trekanomics’ by Manu Saadia, narrated by Oliver Wyman. It is the first Star Trek book I have read in quite a while, I will be inter stead to see how economics in the Star Trek Universe works.

I finished The Tyrant's Tomb. Now I'm reading Old Testament Narratives at my daughter's request.

* waves @May 20 * :D

When I helped my sister packing her stuff yesterday, I “stole” a book from her about Voice Dialogue in relationships. I started reading it today, so I’ll be starting a “Dear Miss Lemon” thread soon to answer all your questions about relationship problems. :rommie:

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller. Having read essays of soldiers sharing their real life experience of World War 2, this book has always caught my eye. Finally reading it!

Fiction read is Death Deserved by Jorn Lier Horst and Thomas Enger. Mystery set in Norway.

Non-fiction read is The Secret Life of Dust by Hannah Holmes. More interesting than it sounds.

I'm reading non-fiction too at the moment. The Spy and the Traitor by Ben Macintyre. About a Soviet spy who became a double-agent for MI6 during the Cold War. It's quite a fascinating read with full of surprises.

Right now I’m about to finish The Hidden Reality by Brian Greene and LOTR by well, you know. ;)

Looking forward to the release of Twilight of the Gods by Ian Toll in June/July 2020, finishing off his excellent Pacific War trilogy. :techman:

Cheers,
-CM-

I am reading ‘Upright Women Wanted’ by Sarah Gailey.

The future American Southwest is full of bandits, fascists, and queer librarian spies on horseback trying to do the right thing.
