I'm not going to lie. I hope the "TOS" Uniforms stay on the Enterprise and don't go over to Discovery. "But they're colorful!" Exactly. I don't think those uniforms fit the tone of Discovery.
They also stick out like a sore-thumb compared to the color scheme and lighting of everything else in the series. It's not like Discovery is lit like the Kelvin Enterprise, where the "TOS" Uniforms look like they'd fit. The only advantage the "TOS" Uniforms will have here is that it'll be impossible to miss anyone wearing them... which would turn into a disadvantage during a phaser fight!
I'm pretty sure I just typed something some long-time posters thought they'd never see me type... but it's all about the visual language of the show and the tone it's trying to convey. Which, IMO, has been established (cue random person who'll take a smart-ass potshot).
