What are you doing/did you do New Year's Eve?

^Makes me happy, too. I never was a New Year's Eve party person. Not much of a party person the other 364 days of the year, either.

(Oops, someone snuck in ahead of me. I was obviously referring to tomalak's post.)

I slept all last night and am doing nothing today...making pasta.

Spent about 14 hours at a gaming party--played Phase 10, Bohnanza, 3-Dragon Ante, and stuffed my face all bloody day. Also picked up some great gifts. The only thing I plan to do today is hit the grocery store.

I hung out with my boyfriend and his daughter. We drank champagne, had oysters, drank champagne, played cards, had champagne, ate roast beef, took the pups for a walk, watched a movie, ate chocolate and drank champagne.

We had an ice storm here last night so staying in with champagne was a good option. :)

One of my friends decided to throw a NYE party. There were about 10 of us hanging out in the downstairs family room, eating, drinking and being goofy for several hours. Good times.

We stayed home. After the last few weeks, I really just wanted a quiet evening. Both of our kids were gone, my son went to a party at his girlfriend's house (he's 18, and he technically spent the night at her grandparents house as they live next door to her and her dad. So I've been told. I am not however that silly as to believe for a moment he wasn't with her. *sigh LOL) Our daughter was invited to a sleepover / party with several friends from her orchestra club at school so she was gone as well.

We watched some movies, relaxed and for a while went out on the back deck with my new telescope and I looked up at the moon. REALLY want to get a camera attachment for it so I can take some pictures..

All in all it was a really enjoyable night. I've been so busy for the last few months, while it might sound a little dull .. it was exactly perfect !

Stayed in bed and ruined a potential relationship through texts. On the plus side, the year cannot get too much worse from here!

I went to a party with my girlfriend. There was lots of food and alcohol. We played Rock Band, and also the Battlestar Galactica board game (which took like 4 hours.) There were also movies going on. I think some people also played Dominion and Munchkin (those are card games.) Eventually, we all got sleepy and went to bed. This was around 3AM.

In the morning, we all went out for bagels and coffee. One of our friends that was there found out his aunt had died (quite unexpectedly) early in the morning, which was kinda sad. :(

My girlfriend came back to my place with me and hung out until Monday afternoon. So, it was quite a nice weekend, except for the guy's aunt dying.

My wife and kids and I were at my parents' house with three other siblings and their families. There were 10 adults and 17 kids (ages 4 months to 14 years) present. It was quite a party. The kids played Just Dance on the Wii and watched a movie while the adults played board games and talked.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join the part until about 10:30 because working on a book chapter on the immunology of the cow placenta that I was behind on.

On New Year's Eve and Day, both times I had dinner with my parents.

Think I enjoyed Day better, though. On Eve, we ate at a fancyish restaurant. On Day, a pizza place/sports bar. Which is more in line with my personality. :)
