What are you doing at this moment?

Thinking of why hot coffee makes me queasy now. Only hot, can't be the caffeine because i drink my soda fine and I don't seem to get sick from the iced kind. Irt sucks because I need it. I suffer from fatigue and it's hard to function without my just gotten up coffee. :-/

I have the same problem. In my case, the problem is drinking coffee on an empty stomach.

The amount of caffeine in coffee is significantly higher than in colas so that's might be the reason you don't have a problem with sodas. As for iced coffee, it depends on how it's made but caffeine extraction is considerably higher in "hot" extraction than in "cold" extraction. It's the same reason as for the sodas - lower caffeine levels in the iced coffee.

I am drinking a bottle of Penfolds Bin 28 (2017).

Bin 28 was a wine to which I was introduced about 40 years by a friend (who has since joined the silent majority) and must have been one of the first Australian wines that I ever drank. It's generally been a favourite of mine ever since (except for the dark years when the then owners tried to leverage the brand by cheapening the wine). Also, it's the only wine I've ever been able to identify exactly in a blind tasting (and a blind tasting with wine professionals to boot!)

Sadly, it's no longer made from grapes from the Kalimina block and, although the wine is still good, it's not as good as it used to be. My older bottles are eked out - special occasions and when there are people around who will appreciate them.

I got my lawn mowed when it was relatively cool outside. It was 88F when I started, 95F when I finished and 105F now. Next get the pork, chicken and beef brisket out of the fridge and start the outdoor grill, I'll wait until it drops to the 90Fs again before I light the fire.

Hey sorry you have the same problem. And thanks for the information. Thought of the full stomach thing too but not cold vs. hot was not anything but me wondering.

Nursing the hangover from last night's once-a-month bottle of wine with my once-a-week pot of coffee!

Waiting for the commentary on the One Day Cup (cricket) semi-finals to start (This is my excuse for not getting out of bed. Nothing to do with the aforementioned hangover...no, siree!)
