Just got home, put the leftovers in the fridge, went back to the car to get the groceries, sat down at my computer. Five minutes in, I saw something I want to text my brother about, but my phones not by by keyboard. I go to the car -- phone's not there. I'm thinking I have to go back to the restaurant to get my phone. On a whim, I open the fridge, and there's my phone under the takeout box. Doh!!

Taking water from the Irrigation District, like every Sunday since May. Involves calling the Canal Rider for permission, opening valves on the property, walking a quarter of a mile each way to turn on a valve at the Irrigation District pipeline. As areas get watered on the property, start closing the valves, then tonight, walk a quarter mile back to the pipeline, to shut the Irrigation District valve. I'll get a good look at the Perseid Meteor shower (just below Cassiopeia) in the north-east this evening.

Have to fix some leaky sprinkler system pipes. It will be about 106F today, but the leak is in the shade of a pecan tree.

I got the two leaks fixed, in one the pipe sheered off, the other leak was insufficient glue at one of three places in a tee connection. It wasn't 106F, it was 108F. Made it like fixing leaks in a sauna. It was nice to turn on the sprinklers and stand in the middle of the water while I adjusted their patterns, so I had that going for me.
