What are you doing at this moment?

Waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can put some washing on the line. While also thinking about making a cup of tea (as I've been sneezing a bit)

Contemplating which A-Level to drop as I just got my predicted grades for UCAS back, I do four so I can drop one, its between dropping physics or further maths. My further maths grade will be 1 or 2 grades higher than my physics (we've been told how the further is being graded but it's the only grade we haven't gotten back yet), so by grades I should probably drop physics but then that means I can't do an engineering degree which is what I wanted to. My subjects would be history, maths, and further maths, so I can either do humanities, maths, or a comp sci-based degree (but I don't want to do a maths or humanities degree, so that leaves a comp sci-based degree which looks sick but I've never done it before so I don't know if id like it).

I need to decide in the next week or so and I don't know what to do since I don't know if my physics grade is bad because I'm bad at physics or because I spent the last few months focusing on maths and neglecting physics because my maths grade was bad.

No easy choice, either way it seems…but I bet the world will be glad to have you, also either way, as we need Mathematicians and Physicists!!!

thank you so much<333

i’m thinking i’ll drop physics and keep further maths (computer science looks very cool as a degree and you just need maths and depending on the uni further maths too). Bit bad of me to drop physics when i run my colleges women in physics society now but.. oops i need the grades.

You have to do what is right and practical. Not always easy, but you know you and what is best…
