alas, no rest for the wicked: gotta cook quincemeat. And since that requires 3 hours of permanent stirring I'll be offline for the rest of the evening.
I just finished installing the new microwave. It was a 2 person job but I did it by myself.
Just finished gathering up some things to take to the county's Women's Shelter charity shop. Will make a run to there tomorrow.
waiting for the janitor to return from his trip to the post office (he doubles as currier). The light in all lab-corridors is out of order (alas, it's not the fuse - we already checked) and since it's a rainy morning we take turns helping each other with torches. For security reasons we can't leave the doors open to light the corridor. The darkness and tiny light points from the torches are pretty Halloween-ish, though, come to think of it 
REALLY not wanting to eat my "healthy diet" lunch today, and lamenting the fact that the only fast-food place within an easy walk of campus is owned by an openly evil company.

Trying to find an old document from my archives. It might take some time as the papers are in boxes, each box representing a period of time and I am not sure of the date that document was issued. So I may need to go through several of these boxes (with a fine-tooth comb) ... Oh, joy!!!
