What are these called where you live?

Next up - what do you call this - I know it has different names in US, UK and in Australia.

Diabetes on a stick.

It's actually not a lot of sugar because it's spun so fluffy. Probably tons more in a candy bar.

In Korea they sold it made into multcoloured flower shapes, bigger than your head! Also saw some animal shapes but mostly these huge flowers, can't imagine why we don't have this here.

Can't see iot so clearly there but the flower is very defined in coloured sections. Google "chinese cotton candy" for lots of pics.

I have never heard them called refugee bags. My family always called them striped bags and when I've needed more I've gone into a bargain shop and asked for them by that name. I just assumed that's what everyone called them lol

I thought the Aussies that told me that is what they called them where pulling my leg until I looked it all up on the net.

Oh wow! That's very interesting.

I have used these bags every time I've moved and I have a bunch of them stacked in my garage full of other people's stuff atm.. they just about never break !

You see them on the luggage belt at airports a lot too. They are bizarrely tough.

It's called Candy Floss in these parts too.

I can't remember if I've ever had some, I may have, pre-diabetes, but that was a long time ago now.

I believe Candy Floss is the partner of the Tooth Fairy, flying around with
travel bags, dispensing sandwich irons and tartan bears to refugee children...

But I might be mistaken...

 :p

We call that stuff cotton candy, as has been pointed out.

And it's disgusting.

:p

@Miss Chicken this is a great idea for a thread. Very interesting

Keep it up.

:techman:

Cotton candy in the US. I liked it when I was about six years old. Once in a great while if I'm at a fair or something, I might have a little for nostalgia's sake.
