What are the Trekbbs ads trying to sell to you?

[publiusr]

Edward Tufte’s new book

[9 To 5 Ambition]

An ad for Facebook and for something called a Smart Saber by Electrum Sabercrafts. (A real world light saber?)

[Candleicious Ghost]

I'm missing the ads now that I paid for a premium sub here... But on Reddit I got ads for forklifts

[Oddish]

I tapped a swimsuit pic on Zulily ONE TIME instead of a snarky t shirt pic, so now it's trying to sell me women's swimsuits.

Can't you just click another pic?

[Oddish]

Oh, I get a fair amount of T shirts, too. But you click on something once, it keeps coming back.

[jackoverfull]

Today it’s socks. Really?!

[Aragorn]

Boots and.... warehouse robots?

[Oddish]

I got a Polo ad with a couple of adorable little girls in summer dresses. Too bad I don't have kids.

[Candleicious Ghost]

Gotta have warehouse robots you never know when that might come in handy

[jackoverfull]

Different ads for sock. They must think I need new ones for some reason.

[9 To 5 Ambition]

An ad for Dr. Scholls massaging gel insoles and a pair of ads by Charlotte Tillbury for makeup.

So Google wants my feet to feel better and to wear makeup.

Back to very expensive lightsabers. No, I’m not spending 500€ on a lightsaber unless I can actually use it to cut through doors and annoying people.

IKR .... For that kind of money you'd expect at least a small laser to light things on fire.

[Mephisto]

Shoes.

[oberth]

Shoes.

is there any reason you would complain about more shoes?

[Mephisto]

At least they stopped promoting face masks .... for the time being.

[jackoverfull]

“Access stock market”. Mmmhh what?

[Kor]

Another NRA thing. I wish the ad provider would quit it with the politically-charged stuff. I see enough of that in real life, and I come to sites like this to get away from it.

Saks is trying to sell me stuff. I mean, $135 for a Speedo. And $1200 for pants. I buy $11.99 used jeans at Goodwill. And I just don't wear Speedos, period.
