What Are The Names Of Your Kids? Or What Would You Name Them?

I'm not going to explain why but I want to get some ideas for baby names. So far my favourites are:

BOYS

Cain

Cameron

Connor

Liam

Sylar

Rhys

Kyle

GIRLS

Kelsey

Miley

So basically the title says it all.
What Are The Names Of Your Kids? Or What Would You Name Them?

I don't have any kids yet. I'm partial to Bible names, though.

Boys:
Levi
Philip
Benjamin
Stephen

Girls:
Deborah
Miriam
Leah
Naomi
Martha

No kids, but if I had any I like Olivia, Isobel, Charlotte, and Briony for girls, and Andrew, Ian, Ethan, and Matthew for boys.

I wanted to name mine Moe, Larry, and Curly. My lovely bride wasnt too happy with that and over ruled me. Now she admits that I was right.

No kids, I'd like to give them Hindu names if I ever do have any, but we'll cross that bridge if we ever come to it.

No children and probably won't have any. However, I have thought of it.

I like giving family names (so they can suffer like we did )

Girls:

Ola Jane
Julia
Catherene (my mother's named is spelled this way)

Boys:

Frank
Billy Jack
James (Jim for short - great grandfather)

I feel that if the kids are going to have their father's last name, mothers should have the last say about first names. And vice-versa.

I keep giving all the names I like to characters in my stories. For boys, though, I like Harry, William and James. For girls, I change my mind all the time but lately I'm on a kick of naming them after close friends: Melissa, Lori, Anuradha.

Honestly, I don't think my husband would care if they didn't have his last name. He didn't care if I took it, but it's the traditional thing to do and I figure if we have kids, I'd like us to all have the same last name.

Naming is a really personal thing, so it should be something that both people can agree on because that's not an argument you want for the rest of your lives.

That being said, I do like having the last say in any situation. :D

I have a few that I like. But most would be like middle names. Sofia is a family name that mom and dad missed to include with us kids, so we kids will try and keep that one going. Liam is one my ex and I both liked for our future son. Even though that didn't work out, I still like the name. I like Brent and Ezri as well.

If I ever had kids, which I won't I would give them one of these names:

BOYS:
Daniel
Alexander
Hamilton

GIRLS:
Rose
Delphi (after a late friend)
Ophelia (after a great aunt)

Hubby and I have no kids, and aren't going to.

But if we had, he liked "Sean Digoro"--Sean for Sean Connery (the only James Bond, per Hubby); Digoro for the kid in the "Lone Wolf and Cub" samurai series from Japan.

Right. Sure.

I liked James, Timothy, or Anthony. All saints names from a girl raised Jewish.

And Sarah for a girl. Maybe a middle name of Grace (only way to have grace in my family is to name the kid it) or Patience.

But, it's not going to happen, so...moot.

My sons are

Daniel
Adam
Marcus

other boys names I considered were

Rhys
David
Liam
Keith
Angus
Thomas

I especially would have liked to have called one of my sons. Liam Thomas (after my beloved grandfather Thomas William) but my husband didn't like these names)

The girls name I had picked out was Jannah Elizabeth. Other girl names I like are

Erika
Michaela or Michaeli

My sisters called their children Matthew, Michelle, Jamie, Ailie, Samuel, Joseph and Sally. I like all these names (especially Ailie).

Well, women don't take their husband's name in Italy, so having a "family name" is out. Kids usually take their father's last name, but the law changed recently, allowing parents to choose between the mother's and the father's last name. But the father's is still the most common occurrence. Personally, I would like my last name to go on, not due to any patriarchal tradition but because my fiancée's brother already has kids, so her last name is going to be fine, while I'm an only child so mine will be lost with me. Efficiency above all, I say. ;)

Oh, absolutely. When the time comes, I'm sure we will reach an agreement. Still, a name is just a name. Even if she happens to prefer a name that I don't like very much, I'm sure I will grow fond of it as soon as it's my kid's name. ;)

I never had any doubt about it. :p

What's wrong with Sylar?
It's not a name. I've never heard of it outside of Heroes, and even then, it's Gabriel Grey assumed identity after a brand of watches. Not that I'm particularly opposed to uncommon names, but it's still quite weird.
