What are some good Scifi time travel movies??

Time After Time (H.G. Wells vs. Jack the Ripper)
Somewhere in Time (based on the novel by Richard Matheson)
The Time Machine (the George Pal original, not the remake)
Time Bandits
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (the one with the whales)
12 Monkeys

Time Cop (Van Damme)... ok, it's funny for an action movie, pop in the popcorn and let your brain unwind...

The Philadelphia Experiment II... nazis with a stealth bomber :D

Terminator 1 and 2... enough said...

Bill & Ted 1 and 2.... classics :)

Butterfly Effect... slightly confusing but worth it in the end

12 Monkeys... again, slightly confusing but pretty well done

Honourable mentions to Groundhog Day and Back to the Future, which should be stables anyway lol

The Back to the Future trilogy, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and, to some extent, the Terminator series (at least T2).

If you don't mind subtitles, and some gore and nudity, then the Spanish movie Timecrimes (Los Cronomimenes) is a great crazy time travel movie.
Trailer. I watched it a while back when it was up on Netflix streaming service and I loved it. Sadly it's been pulled since then.

Primer - the most realistic (:p) time travel film I've seen, tough to follow the different timelines, but in my opinion one of the most interesting time travel films
The Jacket - wierd film with Adrien Brody and Keira Knightly, and Kris Kristofferson . . . Brody plays a gulf war vet whose head injury leads him to an institution that subjects him to some . . . unconventional treatments. The time travel aspects take a back seat to the psychological elements of the story, but it's one of my favorites.

La jetée, on which 12 Monkeys was based.

Slaughterhouse-Five - based on the novel by Kurt Vonnegut, which gave us the phrase "unstuck in time."

All the choices so far are excellent.

I'll throw in The Final Countdown (1980)

I second the recommendation for Time After Time. Might not be the best time travel film ever, but certainly my personal favorite.

12 Monkeys and Back to the Future came to mind most readily. Primer's a good one, though a bit of a head-scratcher. The Source Code is a recent good one, though it could be argued that it's more Groundhog Day than time travel per se.

The Final Countdown has an interesting premise but the story itself is lacking. i bought it awhile ago thinking it was good but was disappointed with the "pay out". you may as well watch "top gun" and imagine time travel was stated somewhere and you'll get the same effect.

one i'd suggest is "Returner" it's about a time traveller who travels back from an alien apocalypse future to kill the first alien that landed in the 90's. its got plenty of action and the story plays out very well. it's an asian film but has a decent dubbed version as well so if you don't want to read subtitles, there you go.

Yeah, that was actually one I'd never heard of until I came here. After hearing so much about it here I watched and loved it.

My three favorite odd-ball foreign and/or independent films have already been mentioned, so I'll just re-iterate their titles here:

La Jetée
Primer
Los Cronocrímenes
