What are NuTrek fans Called?

Im sepecifically talking about the people that only like the alternate reality films and no other Trek. The fans of the original Trek were split into two factions the Trekkers(Serious Fans that immerse themselves into Trek via books, costumes, conventions etc.) and the Trekkies(Fans that just watch the show). Should the fans of the NuTrek movie have two groups called NuTrekkers and NuTrekkies. Basically the NuTrekkers are serious fans of NuTrek and immerse themselves into the 2 films and NuTrekkies watch and enjoy just the movies and nothing more.

No, I don't think that was ever true. There is no actual distinction between a "Trekkie" and a "Trekker". They are what ever the person using the term wants it to be.

I think "fan" covers it for people who like the new films. If a nickname develop and the fans embrace it, it will happen organically.

Agreed completely. Even though I am not a fan of anything anymore, I agree with this!

It doesn't matter which aspect of Star Trek you like. A fan or admirer of JJ Abrams Trek need not be thought of any differently than someone who enjoys TOS Trek or TAS Trek, or TNG or any other iteration.

Just like it doesn't matter if you're white, black, yellow, red, straight, gay, whatever....you're still a human fucking being!

If you like Abrams, or TNG, or TAS, or whatever, you still like Star fucking Trek!

If such nuTrek-only fans exist (and I'm not convinced they do) they're called "Star Trek fans". Just like all of the other ones.

Pubert, this forum does not exist to talk about fans, and you have started several threads to date which are plainly aimed at baiting a certain portion of the overall "fans of Trek" continuum. I think now would be a great time to stop making such threads; either participate honestly or participate not at all.
