What Animated Characters Would You Like to See in ST: Legacy?

If Legacy is under Matalas' control, I suspect that he won't acknowledge these shows as part of the same Trek continuity.

Just a gut feeling. ;)
Why would you think that? I’d be very surprised if Secret Hideout allowed it. (I’ve taken the appearances of the USS New Jersey and Worf as a tacit admission that eventually the 1701 will come to look as it did in TOS, etc.)

TBF if any future Trek comes under Matalas's control, it's our loss.

That would not be his call to make. That would be CBS/Paramount’s. Matalas is just the guy they hired to run their show. So far, despite the contradictions all five streaming Trek shows have with each other and the previous Trek shows, CBS’s stance is that they all take place in the same universe, and I don’t see that changing, because quite frankly CBS doesn’t care all that much about ‘continuity’. I myself do not subscribe to this, but my opinion isn’t relevant to this discussion.

Legacy is inevitable at this point, and I say this as someone who’s actively dreading it.

No, it’s not inevitable. If CBS doesn’t want to produce expensive new Trek streaming shows, they won’t, despite what Matalas would like to do.

The popularity of Picard S3 pretty much makes it clear there's going to be some follow up to it. And given it was the in your face fanwank that everyone remembers about Picard S3, that's going to be what said follow up will emulate. At that point, Legacy seems the logical result.

And I say that as someone who doesn't think highly of Picard S3, or the hypothetical Legacy series.

But it won't.

I'll believe it when I see it.

That's because you care more about continuity than CBS/Paramount cares.

Star Trek Legacy was ALWAYS the plan for Picard Season 3, likely from the very beginning IMHO, Picard seasons 1 & 2 were just Patrick Stewart bait, and once he realized what he wanted was a mistake that wasn't popular, yet still committed to Season 3, he would help them set up Star Trek Legacy.

Do anyone seriously think a petition of 30,000 and 60,000 people would move Paramount when even Discovery as divisive as it is brought Paramount+ MILLIONS of new subscribers.

It was just folks playing their parts in a PR narrative made by Kurtzman, to give it a populist shine, untainted by his own reputation in some corners.

Because he writes like every fanboi brainstorming n their notebook during seventh grade study hall instead of doing their algebra.

And I'm guessing a lot of seventh graders are capable of writing better dialog.

Wow didn't realize you lived in an alternate universe from the rest of us where the dialog wasn't as good as the Star Trek Picard the rest of us got, where Terry Matalas write it himself unlike our universe where he got mostly his team from 12 monkeys to write season 3 btw.

On a more serious note why don't you just admit you hate it because folks you concider "deplorables" like Critical Drinker and David Cullen like it, and this feels like they are winning if they get Star Trek Legacy, at least that would be more believable then it had bad dialog .
