Let’s see. On television I have seen commercial promos while watching “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “Fringe”. Both of those shows air on Fox.
On the Internet I have seen advertisements (some Intel ads) and links to the trailer on various Star Trek websites and message boards.
The Trailer and movie have been reported on several Entertainment/Sci-Fi related sites I occasionally visit for information (e.g. SyFy Portal, UGO.com, IESB.net, SciFi Wire News, AintItCool.com).
I haven’t seen anything on the SciFi channel though. Maybe they figure those viewers probably already know about the movie.
It seems they are especially going after the male viewers. There are a lot of females out there who like the Sci-Fi genre too (myself included). They should start promoting on channels that have a large female viewing demographic too (e.g. A&E, Bravo, Oxygen, WE, Lifetime).
Not to mention the stations that probably have a more mixed viewership (USA, TNT, FX, TBS).
